He is being aimed at the Triumph Hurdle. He has improved with each of his four starts over hurdles and has been getting more professional with each run. He shaped better than the bare result in the Grade 2 at Leopardstown’s Christmas meeting as he ended up getting bottled up in traffic in a steadily-run race and that didn’t play to his strengths. The new course will suit him very well as he’s a galloper that stays well. Sir Gino looks very good, but our fella’s form puts him up there with the best of the Irish and we’re looking forward to having a crack at them.
should go and romp in the boodles

Who does Paul ride in this?
does he take the ride on Kargese? if he does she’ll be a alot shorter but I don’t think they fancy her or does he stick with Storm Heart again? Nothing looks particularly strong, Wont be E.Diamond or Bunting I don’t think.
S.Mundi isn’t a mile off on the exchanges right now maybe they will throw him in on debut, At a time maybe it looks like Nicky is worth taking on. Win/win situation regards nov status.
thinking of the nrnb on him decent enough prices out there..gone full circle from start of season.

Maybe Burdett Road picked up his injury in the race against SG in which case he may have been slightly flattered by the winning distance? The DRF race was clearly far deeper in quality. They finished in a heap but historically it's been by far the best Triumph Trial. Nicky has said on a number of occasions also that SG is not your typical Triumph horse. He has proven himself on the track though and it's hard to pick any holes in him. You sense though that he'll need to step up again to fend off the best of Willie's.
If one of the Irish in that race is better than SG, that means he finishes about 5th or 6th as they finished so close to each other. That’s looking at it literally of course.
Having watched both races and others, I think SG is a fair way ahead of the Irish.
Of course horses can improve into the festival so it’s not cut and dried by any means.
