Anyone who has taken that 20s (which is plenty of us) was a mug.
I even questioned him ever doing it for myself and STILL put the bet on.
Let's hope I'm wrong

They removed the 8lb 5yo allowance some years ago when the French kept coming over with horses 18 months ahead of UK/Ire breds.
If the allowance still existed then the 5yo would have a proper season and target, I'm sure there's some common ground in there somewhere...
Given the potential stable issues Nicky might have, Is it worth taking on SG & getting stuck into some of Willies
it’s not impossible (tho unlikely) that Irish form is better anyway
Sounds mad and got shot down for suggesting time to get stuck into State Man week or so back for similar reasons
Prob worth at least thinking thru main Hendo bets and being NRNB where poss & taking on a few
At odds on, this feels like one where could be potential
Await the pelters
With the race being on the Friday, you've got time during the week to see how Nicky's run. On the first day he's got Con Hill (hopefully), Jeriko and Marie's Rock so if they all run badly you can take a view then. If you wait for the Wednesday, he's got some decent handicappers likely to run as well as Jonbon so more info to base your decision on.
He is being aimed at the Triumph Hurdle. He has improved with each of his four starts over hurdles and has been getting more professional with each run. He shaped better than the bare result in the Grade 2 at Leopardstown’s Christmas meeting as he ended up getting bottled up in traffic in a steadily-run race and that didn’t play to his strengths. The new course will suit him very well as he’s a galloper that stays well. Sir Gino looks very good, but our fella’s form puts him up there with the best of the Irish and we’re looking forward to having a crack at them.
Also means he worked with an ill horse tho …,who did he travel with?
If there is an issue in the yard at mo?
Hopefully all ok, but worth keeping an eye on Hendos at mo
Hendo said SG worked beautifully
Dont know who else was working but apparently they all worked well apart from CH.
Take it how you like, I’m taking it as he said.

He means there's a risk that he's caught it and if so would be worse timing for SG.
All guesswork though.
