  • You'd be hoping they either finish in a pile at DRF or one pulls clear, Sir Gino is going to take some beating regardless. Really interested to see Kargese again.

      • Trainer James Owen acknowledges Burdett Road will have his work cut out in his bid to turn the tables on Sir Gino, but he is nevertheless happy to roll the dice.

“We bumped into a very good horse and the positive we can take from it is that we jumped better and he’s come out of it fine,” said the Newmarket handler.

“I think drier ground will help us. We’ve got to improve to bridge that gap, but he’ll have an easy week and he’ll be trained for the Triumph Hurdle – all systems go, basically.”

Yep., JOB confirmed that himself a couple of weeks ago. Intelotto will represent him at DRF.

Could he be held back as he’s another Donnelly horse? Would they want Gino and Mundi and Anzadam? Might be injury though

Could Ethical Diamond be an interesting place roll up horse? I'm sure I remember Willie saying he thought he was his best entry at Christmas and I wouldn't think the Boodles is on the agenda as it would require 3 runs in 6 weeks...

Yep. He's an interesting one. As you say Willie thought he was the best of his juveniles before disappointing on debut. He's in on Saturday so clearly they still have faith in him. He could surprise.

                            • Kargese wins that race for me. Might see if there is anyone offering match betting against Kala Conti as well as she shouldn't be shorter. Kargese will come on for the run, KC was in optimum position all race off the slow pace and no penalty for Kargese this time.

Storm Heart is far too short at 6/4 so plenty of value in behind.

They'll just put him in the grade 1s now and if he wins, great. If not, novice campaign next year. 40/1 win. 11/2 place top 3 available atm.
