Funny how he thought the National Hunt was better on the 17th January (i.e, after his Xmas run)

Agree it sounds like change of heart - but I agree he should go stayers

If I was Cromwell I think I might chance the NHC. The other professional jockeys seem to have his number over the smaller obstacles.

The amateur jockeys in the NHC might not counter his tactics as well, Patrick's a devil for giving rival horses a lot of rope in this race. I'm aware Flooring will also have an amateur pilot who won't be as good a judge of pace and breathers as Danny. However, if he stays he might go off and not be caught.

Imo he won't win either so just some random thoughts on a dreary Friday morning.

I would say a lot would also depend if he has been able to secure a top amatuer like Barry or not that would be vital

If he hasn't then easy to see why he wouldn't go.

He has proven that he has the ability to mix it with the British horses, and I'm not sure the Irish are all that strong either.

Teahupoo had no excuses last year and got beat by an 11 year old.
Sir G has the class but will he stay?
Noble Yeats, Monfish (GC?) and Flooring Porter (NHC?) wouldn't worry me too much.

I'd have Irish Point as the likeliest winner but doesn't sound like he'll run.

It looks fairly gash, doesn't it.

One of my main worries with Crambo would be who gets the ride. He's not going to have one of the big names riding. Burke probably keeps the ride which is fair, I suppose.

Has his chance but will need to find another 10lb on his beating of Paisley Park to be mixing it with teahupoo and irish point
