Well done AL (and anyone who has backed)
Had plenty of digs to fend off and he's proven to be worthy of being in the conversation for March now, which was easy to crab beforehand
“He never knows he’s beat,” said O’Brien. “The horse is still very young and I can’t believe he is here winning a Grade One – I could tell two furlongs out he was going to get there.
“He’s a bull of a horse, Noel Fehily bred him with Jared (Sullivan, co-owner) and Noel always has him home and pre-trains him and has done a great job with him.
“He’s unique, Noel was telling me today he was two weeks’ premature and the mum foaled herself and he is just one of those – you honestly wouldn’t know he was in the place at home, he’s so straightforward.
“We took him away a couple of weeks ago because I wanted Johnny to have a sit on him and because I didn’t want Johnny to get to the races and think, ‘I’m not getting much of a feel here’, because that is just Crambo.
“He said he didn’t give him much of a feel, but I said just trust him on the day and that is what he did – and I can’t thank Johnny enough, he’s given him a fantastic ride.”
This is a few paragraphs taken from the sporting life article on crambo after his victory today.
Wow, this is crazy... I knew i loved him for a reason.
My daughter was born 8 weeks premature earlier this year....... The mother foaled herself on the kitchen floor!!
Premmies are tough, Never know when they're beaten...... so true.
This is one of them moments you just know it's meant to be....

Well done AL , good call....genuinely happy for you mate...
Well Done Aaron Lad ,
I decided to back paisley park for Nostalgic Reasons , It was a great race to watch .
And as soon as Crambo won , your the first person i thought of , So Well Done Again mate ... .
Certainly Crambo has proven himself to be in the mix with that run, though obviously a neck defeat of Paisley Park leaves him still a little short when it comes to the Stayers. Would suggest bookmakers are now dodging him with the liabilities as his price doesn't reflect his bare form. RPR was 159 for the win, compared with something like Home By The Lee who has run to a 160+ on last 4 completed starts. Still a young horse however, making only his 8th hurdle start and first in grade 1 outside of novice company so the necessary improvement may be there. Nice one if you took a chance on the big prices, looks like I backed the wrong handicap improver in Buddy One!

Hills still have crambo priced up at 12/1 in the any race market, obviously an error but it's there if anyone wants to risk it, I've double odds boosted it.
Jack said he would have done more in a piece of work at home,” said Elliott.
“He was very professional, settled and did everything great.
“You are always worried stepping up to three miles. It’s a nice race to win, we’ve a couple for that division now and it’s a good problem to have.
“We’ve a great bunch of horses and Jack said to me there that all I have to do now is to make sure to split them up.
“He could be a horse that we’d keep for Aintree, we’ll enjoy today and see what happens. The horse was very good and I thought it was a great performance.
“I thought he was so relaxed that he ticked all the boxes to stay, but you are always nervous until he does it.
“Jack said he actually thought halfway down the back that he was so relaxed, but he said when he gave him a squeeze he leapt straight back on it.”
On what we've seen I'd say they may well keep Teahupoo for Aintree. IMO that was the best performance from a Stayer this season by a long way. He's turned over a good yardstick very easily and could have any amount of improvement over a trip new to him but one that clearly suits. He looks to have it all whereas Teahupoo has produced his best over the mid trip and was beaten in the Stayers this year with seemingly everything in his favour. It'll be a difficult decision and one that will run and run you suspect.

It was a slow gallop that turned into a sprint to which suited Irish Point.

Not surprised they went slowly in that ground. He was so in control it wouldn't have made a difference how the race was run imo. Very impressive dominant performance.
…..I’ve had the impression from almost immediately after the race in March that the Teahupoo camp feel they have unfinished business with the Stayers Hurdle. A real conundrum for them now.
