I wouldn't judge him on staying thr trip based on any Chase run, but as Lobos pointed out it might be best to judge him on that Ballymore win where he ploughed through the mud. Looked every inch a staying type that day.

Interesting take...although comparing the two is kind of funny. A line through Fennor's Cross would have Springwell Bay needing to find 4 lengths on Buddy One and well.. seeing as the jockey wouldn't be able to claim 7lb if they decide to keep him onboard we wouldn't be that far off would we? I hope you haven't backed Buddy One.. because essentially you're saying your bets in the bin already.

Use whatever literal form lines you want, what Buddy One did the last day was a stone better than Springwell & he’s still keen. No chance.

Horses with 2m speed don't win deep ground Ballymore though. The fact he pulled his way through the race and still battered them says it all really. He's got plenty stamina.

He said they may give him one more try but I don't believe it will happen. They'll not risk him again. He's had enough chase runs now to confirm he ain't going to make it as a chaser. He's also got nowhere to go over fences at the Festival. Champion Chase? No. Gold Cup? No. Ryanair? Connections have two in that already. Stayers or nowt.

He's definitely not third favourite like.

He holds very little appeal to me though. And is a fairly poor price now imo. I'd be surprised if it turned out that the slightly bigger obstacles were his only issue. And even if they did I don't think the Stayers would suit him on his hurdle runs.
