Crambo got going way too late there. Stayed on very strongly. Still hoping he can be there or thereabouts in March.

lobos that was an impressive run
he's give 12lbs and 15lbs to the front two who are not 124 and 127 horses
he's been given an absolute shocking ride
I will make my full case within due course

Sorry for Crambo backers but I think he needed to win comfortably today to stand any chance in the Stayers. He wasn't good enough and I just don't see him being able to run to an RPR of mid 160s which is what an average winner of the Stayers runs to. I know backers will still have hope seeing him close the gap at today's finish and therefore think the Cheltenham hill will suit but I would focus more on how he wasn't able to make up ground today in the straight and only closed the gap at the finish when the leaders tired, and these leaders won't be in the same class of horses that he will face in the Stayers.

Hit a flat spot at the wrong time of the race, hopefully the jockey will have learnt something from today.
Whether it's the stayers or pertemps at cheltenham he's a contender, he just needs a more prominent ride nto.
The best stayer hurdlers look like they hit flat spots during races, i really like him
They know he stays now it will be so different next time
