Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Thanks. Prefer those versions. A flat prep wouldn't be my ideal but I'll trust them to know more

Cheltenham also confirmed by Theleme's trainer and owners racing manager.
Lots of minor doubts there........Ground, undulating course, different hurdles. Along with travelling for first time, jockey inexperienced around course, size of crowd.

Apart from that he has a hell of a chance.

          • What do Theleme, West Balboa and Gentlemansgame have in common?

All of them have yet to race at Cheltenham.

West Balboa and Gentlemansgame both rising eight and I’d say less easy to find excuses for this omission than for Theleme.

            Just saying….

            • When and what was the last horse trained in France to come over and win at the Cheltenham Festival. I won't be putting a penny on him out of principle !

Both of them are very lightly raced though and I suspect have had their training issues.

May as well ignore this race then as he wins.

The French don't have many runners but Easysland won the XC in 2020.

Mainly down to the prize money available in France and Lots of quality races around Cheltenham time. When they do come over though, they have a very good Run/win record.

                    • I am not questioning the horses ability or potential to win. Just the fact he is French trained. Can't bring myself to put a penny on him. I am heavily invested in Teahupoo and Gaelic Warrior (?) in the race. with a little on Sir Gerhard. (?). No comments required........

Seems like not everyone wants to back the winner DS

Educate me. Other than Easylands win in the X-Country what other French trained winners have there been at Cheltenham Festival in last 10 years ? I remember a couple in the Stayers in March but they flopped. I genuinely can't remember a winner other than Easyland.

But to counter that comment, what french trained horses have came over that have had genuine chances on the ratings?

They made Gold Tweet the worst priced horse in festival history.

I can only really think of Kasbah Bliss, never won but ran well. Anything before that would have been before my time, maybe there's more.
