Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

It would be a very good yankee but pretty much guaranteed to cost you an account.
Bookies flag any punter who follows publications or tipping lines, Pricewise and the like…

….I’ve been wondering how many Fat Jockey’s actually put these wagers on. It’s a genuine interest with PP/BFSB suggesting they might pull the plug on any betts where there appears collaboration.

I know the likes of Lobos is a valuable contributor to the monthly discussions but doesn’t bother putting the bet on and I suspect that applies to many.

I certainly do them, I don’t think it’s FOMO, I like to think one might go in one day.

I do them, started putting them on in cash even if it means shorter odds to avoid any account tracking if lots of us back the same Yankee at a similar time we could easily get grouped together for unwanted scrutiny. Cash is king these days

I don't do them all, but try to get on the majority. I also don't put them on with the advised bookmaker best odds because I imagine many would be doing so, so I mix the bookmakers up a bit with regards to these bets.

….really good point about using a different firm, even if it docks you a few points. I’ve just done the same but only because l’m on holiday and can’t get on with all firms but it’s worth thinking about in future.

I do like the idea of this being the Gordon Elliott Yankee with him having so many of his good ones every year starting out at Down Royal. Last year went badly but the year before from memory was pretty good as an Elliott theme.

                    Thoughts?

….seems popular with many, my concern would be we can’t capture handicaps at this stage but if posters think he could have 4 winners in Championship races then fair enough.

                        salvador ziggy
                        conflated
                        stellar story

4 from Gordon’s we will likely see in the next month and prices will likely be cut

I'd vote for a Stable Tours yankee, and as they come out over the next 3 weeks hopefully, we can dissect the diamonds on offer within them, tour by tour, leaving aside the obvious players i.e. the September yankee.

You know, looking at yours, I thought you were doing that. I tend to concentrate mostly on doubles and trebles, a mix of my own selections and those from the yankee. Are you still religiously churning one out each week?

Yea I’m in the same boat I don’t do them all. Sept
for example I’ve the same 4 in plenty of multis already so will give it a skip.

Others il mix and match if there’s a runner I’m not keen on I just replace it

Seems odd to me to contribute to this thread but not place the bet at the end. If you’re going to spend time telling people why a horse should be included at least place the bet yourself.
