Brilliant performance by GMG on only his third chase start, but BMG clearly the better horse for me, just lacking race fitness. Having backed GMG ew at 66/1, I'm thrilled that he's enhanced his place prospects but I don't see him beating a race fit BMG or GDC yet. Plenty of scope for improvement if he manages to stay sound though so the dream lives on in that regard!

Eggs was further ahead than all of us, mentioning him on the second page of the thread!
Shout out to Brooksie as well, using his double odds boost to get 132/1 this week... I hope it was ew though

Thrown a William Hill odds boost at him anyhow 132/1

Odin lol Unfortunately I'm limited to a 5er with the William Hill boost so only had the win at 132s, I placed a bet at 66s each way though and thrown him in some multiples with some other hit and hope outlandish selections
If he gets there fit and well, we should get some kind of run for our money at least.Long bitcoin, long gold, long silver, long g/s opening day Cheltenham Festival

So - What is the consensus for tomorrow’s grade 1 ??
As someone who’s crabbed Gerri Colombe’s price I’ve backed Envoi Allen at 13-2.
Basically on the prices. Given his course form.
I may lay Gerri Colombe also if he gets stupidly short.
It’s a tough enough test first time up against horses of proven class and with a race under their belts. Especially as Gordon had stated he’s all about March so how ready will he be for this test ?
Backers at single figures ideally would like to see him win, and the sad thing about this is that the horses he’s running against are unlikely to be contenders in the Gold cup in any case.

Would Gerri fans back him to win the PP Gold Cup off top weight if he were in it ??
If so, should you not be smashing into The Real Whacker in that race? Why is he not fav if he beat Gerri who is the strongly backed GC 2nd fav??

I too have backed Envoi tomorrow and rolled him up onto Stage Star in the PP GC as I'm off to Cheltenham next Saturday. So hoping Rach makes all on him and jumps them silly. Hoping the course form and fitness advantage will prove enough.
