I agree he's one from left field as there is no guarantee he'll transfer to jumps seamlessly. The problem will be that, if you want to see him run first, the price will be gone if he were to perform well.

Also I've had a number of messages asking me about my bookbuilding approach. I recorded the video below with Kev last October, and it might be useful to those that didn't see it, and to any newer members who have joined more recently.

Also to let you know I'm hoping we'll kick the FJ Podcasts off before the end of the month.

Really enjoying these Spectre and thanks very much for posting them. Nice and punchy. Literally the first time I've ever sat through a Tiktok video too! Have also retweeted them. Been away for 2 weeks so nice to have a lazy first day back at work listening to all of these.

I look forward to the updated views as the season progresses.

Three more of these are out today. I really appreciate the retweets and recommendations. The wider I can get these out the better, so if you can recommend them to your networks as you repost them it would be really appreciated.

I'm also really interested in your thoughts. If you think I'm wide of the mark tell me, and if you have any thoughts on the approaches and selections I'd love to hear about it.

Saint Roi is one I’ve been mulling over for a few week when I seen the 50/1 on offer. He’s a bit smaller than what I’d usually like over a fence & throws in the odd guessy leap but you’ve convinced me Paul cheers!

Enjoying these & have found we’re on a similar page for the most part, it’s actually helped me work out a few dilemmas I was in.

I’ve had a speculative punt at Sir Gerhard at 50/1 for the Ryanair too with a free bet.

Some decent content to date, snappy enough to list the protagonists plus some of your own thoughts, good work.
Bronn is one who I liked the more I seen of him last year, got a ? over if he's a bridle merchant or just a bit tricky when in front mind so not so sure on the e/w take on him. It will be interesting how he's campaigned this season, as I can't imagine small field races with no pace guaranteed will be his thing like some from the yard who are very well placed Ala Easygame/Bachasson. He's one if pitched deep and beaten but progressing in open company I'll happily be watching on the exchanges for fancy prices through the season in a race ripe for some left field shouts this year.

Thanks Sean. I'm glad you've found them useful and worthwhile.

Sir Gerhard is one I want to see how he's campaigned first. If he were mine he'd be back over hurdles and aimed at the Stayers. I think he wants three miles, but just doesn't jump well enough to be a chaser of any renown. Even if they revert to hurdles I want to see he's still in love with the game though. Cheltenham and Punchestown were pretty awful.

I hope you're right, as this is the route I've backed him for

My take is Bronn didn't quite get home over three miles in the Brown Advisory, so a Gold Cup campaign will make no sense. His previous two and a half mile chases I thought were very good, and it looks to be his trip. If you're concerned about him being a bridle merchant it's worth watching his race back at Fairyhouse at the end of January, when he had to properly tough it out. I suspect he can idle though, so I understand why you raise it.

His novice chase form stands up to sufficient scrutiny to suggest he could be a major player in the Ryanair, and I just think he's a horse that people haven't generally picked up on. 50/1 is a big price, and yes I agree it's worth picking bits a pieces up on the exchange. That said he's the kind of horse that I like to have backed each way because he gives me the flexibility of laying back either the win part, the place part, or both, which is my preferred approach to locking in a profit, and then still having the win, the place, or both playing for me on the day.

You'd have to regard him as a player if they go that way Lee. I'm recording The Stayers today, and he gets a mention.
