Willie is just teasing us all saying Hunters Yarn is staying at home. He's on the boat for sure.....

Gaelic Warrior still looking fine for the Turners too, and they're probably not going to run against each other. I don't think it's pointing either way.

Is anyone on here seriously still fancying Gaelic Warrior to win at the Fez or is it just in hope that he even turns up based on the old pocket talking?? Has anyone who had not backed him before his DRF flump, now put their money down ? I'd want to know why.

I’m tempted to top up at some point if exchanges get much bigger
If we say it enough maybe someone from the yard will read it. Can't believe that Double Green wouldn't want him to run it it with their record in the race.

5/1 NRNB was tempting, if he turned up I think he'd go off favourite (rightly or wrongly), so made some sense. Definitely the classiest horse in the race bar F2F, obviously not as good left handed. He's only got Ginny's Destiny as competition who is confirmed for the race really, Iroko has been injured all year, there's not a great deal else... I can see the angle.
I think he's odds on to skip the festival though.

Ginny's destiny is yet to prove he's better than a handicapper - stage star won by getting an easy lead last time. That won't happen for ginny due to gaelics fast jumping. Iroko has run once this season so there's no chance he should be the same price. Facile Vega is likely to be split as PTs other best ride, unless Gaelic doesn't go - I'm sweet on facile if he does go though. Grey Dawning is better over further - I'd be more interested over 2m5f but not 2m3f. Fact to file goes RSA. Found a fifty and il etait temps go arkle. American mike and zanahiyr don't go. Imagine has solid place prospects. Sharjah unlikely to go if Gaelic goes?
Gaelic has to be backed nrnb but this race has fallen apart and I see no reason why he shouldn't go and win it. He has the joint highest overall rpr over hurdles and the joint highest left handed rpr over hurdles - both joint with facile who probably won't go. It just looks obvious to me at the prices.

He was too short in the betting but now looks overpriced to me, even with the left handed concerns.

I know horses have a price that can tempt one in to bet, but imo current price is not big enough going on that last performance.
Those that do are hoping he will jump straight enough rather than confident, and imo underestimating opposition.
Ginnys is likely to be the main opponent and he jumps really well, and I can see a scenario where he gains at the fences round the inside whilst GW is further out doing his stuff.
Of course it’s possible GW is simply so much better he will get away with his tendencies, but from what I’ve seen of the horse left handed, and watching GD this season, I don’t think that will happen.

Cheers for your replies guys. I agree that it was definitely more than just any RH bias at the DRF and that puts me off him more. Yes, we have the NRMB option but that still wouldn't interest me as he looked a sick horse and the fall was just unnecessary. He should have been pulled up. Odin, the Turners is over 2m 4f (albeit 50 yards) not 2m 3f and on the much stiffer track.......not that that will change your mind by the sounds of it !
