They won’t rush him. Nor should they ignore it if they feel they’ve got him in great shape. Waiting another 3 weeks has its downsides too if he is already in great shape. Let’s just go with the flow. He is in good hands and they will know what the right thing to do is closer to the time.

    • They may not want to give him an easy prep run somewhere as he will lose his novice status

Might run him at 2 of the spring festivals if he wins he wins if he doesn't they can hope for a clear run next season

        Wise words imo
Apart from no entries, not even priced up anywhere that I can see

        • Just responding to Rooster Booster and FinalFurlong91 instead of quoting you both

Rooster, I know they won’t rush him but the fact he wasn’t entered says they thought he wouldn’t make Cheltenham. So why not continue with that plan, take their time with him, get a prep end of Feb even into march and go to Aintree, then onto Punchestown.

FF now that he is back in full training would it not be a waste of a year (obviously wouldn’t be a waste if he won at Cheltenham)? I don’t think losing his novice status is an issue. He’s missed what 2/3 months, he could get a prep and go to Aintree and punchestown. He’s 7 so would still be a novice as an 8 year old if he didn’t win at Cheltenham or another festival. It’s all about open company with horses, that’s where they get their reputations, build their legacy etc.

Time will tell what they decide to do, but that’s how I’d play it, not that my opinion would matter to JP etc haha!

          • Do people think Giovinco for the BANC is value at 20/1 nrnb as of now, or one to wait on for a price on day of race?

Trying to work out my disaster double strategy should Fact To File go to the Turners.
I'd need to cover Grey Dawning but looking through the list after GD on odds checker, bar Monty's Star, there is a list of horses all unlikely to come to the BANC until it gets to Giovinco. If the likes of Embassy, Nick, Corbetts and Ginny head elsewhere, do we reckon Giovinco ends up shorter on the day?

Got a shot, but I’d take 25-1 ew NRNB Turners too …as they are trying shorter

might not go to Chelt, but NRNB the play

Grey Dawning and a few others will be well popular for the Turners now me thinks .
