I'd be a little worried myself regarding any horse being aimed at Cheltenham being run this weekend over 3 miles in Navan. It's been pretty wet all this week in the East of Ireland. It's a tough going track at the best of times, especially the dip at the end of the back straight once theres anything with soft or worse in the going. Facing 3 miles on that ground and being asked to turn around in 4 weeks time and try replicate a 3 mile or 3M6F effort, would take a fair horse to perform in both
One look at the Ten Up results for the last decade shows you that Willie has rarely thrown a big Cheltenham player at this race.
This year could be different with Nick Rockett and Minella Cocooner in there, probably with a higher profile re travelling in March, than most of the rest had.

Think ur right & he is right given ground & how close
Maybe this year only happened cos ended up with these horses ….dont think they were ever his A-team plan
Paul has sided with him, and he’s done nothing wrong this season. I think he’ll handle track and ground and we skipped the DRF with him to wait for this – as we did with Minella Cocooner
Re Cocooner;
He won over course-and-distance here in January and Danny rides him. It’s all to play for between our two and we’ll find out if Paul made the right choice.

Very different this year though with everything still up in the air with his Novices. Especially after losing Grangeclare West so late and both Vega and Gaelic Warrior both badly disappointing. F2F aside, Willie doesn't have another showstopper amongst his Novice Chasers.......yet.

Iroko team working towards Festival target.
Novice chaser expected to make Cheltenham, but aim yet to be decided......
Iroko is on course to make the Cheltenham Festival but which race he runs in has still to be decided.
Trained by Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero, the six-year-old won the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle at the meeting last season in the famous JP McManus colours.
He went on to finish third to Apple Away in Grade One company at Aintree and reappeared over fences at Warwick in early November, putting up a faultless chasing debut over two and a half miles.
Unfortunately he picked up an injury a couple of weeks later that connections initially felt would rule him out for the season, however, he has returned to full training much quicker than anticipated and has been entered in the Arkle and Turners Novices’ Chases next month.
While Greenall favours the Turners, McManus also owns ante-post favourite Fact To File which may have a bearing on his destination.
“I think he’ll get to Cheltenham,” said Greenall.
“He won’t be able to have a run before, there’s not enough time, but he’ll get to Cheltenham.
“Which race he’ll run in there, I’m still not sure. I’d rather go over two and a half miles but JP has obviously got other options in that, so we’ll just have to see.
“The Arkle may have opened up after last weekend but obviously he ran so well in the three-mile Grade One novice hurdle at Aintree.
“It’s great that he’s back anyway, and he’s back in full training.”
I still don't understand why they haven't entered Iroko for the RSA
It's common for Frank and JP to not multi enter, and they are also quick to scratch, not sure why they do this as it can't be the money.
One of the least imaginative race planning teams in the sport. It's like they're focussed on handicaps or something
No confirmation has been made about which race Iroko will head to, but Greenall expects a decision to be made between all parties in good time.
He continued: “We’re still quite new to having horses with JP, so I’m not really sure – they seem to run horses against each other, so if we all agree that the Turners is the race then we will run in it.
“He’ll be ready; I would expect him to go to Cheltenham.”
The. 'they seem to run horses against each other' bit is interesting. Could it be a decision has already been made to run F2F in the race ? Or Has JP got other horses entered ?

Same part massively piqued my interest - it's either a) he knows a decision has been made or b) he wants to go to the Turners either way.
If its the former, that would not be good for me having just had a bunch of multis with Facile Vega Turners antepost in, but I'll start loading up on F2F Turners NRNB in multis now if I get chance. I still think F2F best in RSA; Iroko Turners; Corbetts NH Chase (if he makes it).
