Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Yeah,he ran them all in the arkle in the end, and whatever was left ran in the other, so I expect he will run the 4 entered in the arkle in the arkle.
      But just my hunch.
Facile Vega is in the Appreciate It position and I think it's last chance saloon before stepping up at Cheltenham if disappointing again.

Takes pennies to move these short term antepost markets

And given there was an article in the racing post saying gaelic warrior goes Irish arkle I'd say its very possible people are doing 2+2 and getting 5

        • Agree with what’s being said, I recall it with Appreciate It last year.

Gaelic Warrior, Facile Vega and Il Etait Temps to take on Marine and leaves Fact To File, Grangeclare West and Nick Rockett for the Flogas. Seems the obvious splits but it is WPM

Does anyone think that the bumper campaign for some of these horses catch up on them and they struggle to recover ?

Some horses are more robust than others and can get over it quicker

Facile Vega and American Mike slogged it out at Cheltenham in a bog and yet they flogged them both at Punchestown afterwards

American Mike has never been the same horse since and Facile Vega hasn’t lived up to expectations

There’s a reason why Nicky doesn’t go near it

It’s been very good to me Antepost but I think it’s a hard race for young horses

edit, probably should be in the Bumper thread

Interesting, especially when you look at how many strong Irish challengers there are in the market. I really hope SAF does the business

Could just be that bumper horses are like 2yos on that flat

The best bumper horses and 2yos are simply more precocious than other horses their age and are passed ability wise by the slower maturing horses

Feel like very very few top bumper horses end up winning open grade 1s at Cheltenham many have stopped improving even by the time they hit novice chases (appreciate it? Gerhard? Facile?)

I'm sure someone will find several examples showing I'm talking rubbish

Cue card, dato star and florida pearl are the only 3 winners that went on to hit 170 or more in the races history I believe.

Yeah Cue Card definitely an exception

They just generally don’t seem to have as long a career at the top if they run in festival bumpers

Champagne Fever is probably a good example

Appreciate it another that has tailed off early

Envoi Allen as well but the fact there's been so few examples mentioned kind of backs up FF's point for the horses to date.

There is definitely a difference of opinion amongst Owners and Trainers as some don’t want their horses running in it

Nicky and Henry are not fans,O’Leary and JP up until recently we’re not keen

Even last year Ronnie Bartlett didn’t want Ballyburn to go
