    Probably not in the Turners when only 4 or 5 turn up though.

      Interesting debate ….are bookies the enemy …,or just a company in middle making a margin ?

      Are we not in effect betting against other punters?

            If memory serves, the Ten Up isn't a race Willie uses for his better NHC ones either. Looks like he might be BANC bound?

              If he's declared for DRF then Ten Up will be too close.

              • Minella Cocooner ran in the same race at Navan that Tenzing did before the NHC.

                Can’t really use Gaillard Du Mesnil as he was running in all the graded races. Looking like Cocooner or Embassy will be number 1 imo. Unless meetingofthewaters wins well Sunday.

                • Looks like he ran glengouly last year (PU) and nothing the year before

                    If course if either of them win it too well we could see them diverted to the BANC. It's so bloody hard isn't it !!

                      Aye it’s a pain in the arse haha!

                      Is the ten up on the 11th Feb? I’d say depending how they fair on Sunday if Nick Rockett doesn’t go DRF then there is a chance he goes NHC after the ten up. Still gives just over 4 full weeks until Cheltenham.

                        Yep. Last chance saloon for him. Can't see them not testing him in the DRF though with a view to Cheltenham. Enough to give you a headache isn't it.

                          If he doesn't go to the Ten Up then he would have to get qualified somewhere else first if he were to run in the NHC? Still not ran over 2m7+. His DRF entry is over 2m5.

                          Looks BANC bound to me (or not going at all). Reminds me of Capodanno last year.

                          • Just looking at the callendar for the Ten Up and back over previous years it is much earlier this year with it being 4.5 weeks before Cheltenham compaired yeahs previously before last year. Also last year was slightly earlier and Willie entered his only runner in the past 4 years in it, so there is still hope for Nick Rockett being entered in it to qualify for the NHC

                            2024 = 4.5 weeks before Cheltenham
                            2023 = 4.5 weeks before Cheltenham (1 runner)
                            2022 = 3 weeks before Cheltenham - Was postponed to midweek the following week (0 runners)
                            2021 = 3.5 weeks before Cheltenham (0 runners)
                            2020 = 3.5 weeks before Cheltenham (0 runners)

                            • My view would be as he's not ran in a Q race by now then the NHC is not the race for him. Willie just doesn't work like that. Plus the fact he has 3 qualified already which is plenty.

                              • I don't think Willie has ran a NH chase horse in the Ten up for a few years, Haymount and Measure of my dreams the last couple around 8 or 9 years back.
