"Mister Policeman is a horse I think a lot of and I’m trying him again at two miles. He won the last day but I thought he might win better, maybe that experience will do him good. He goes here with a great chance."

You just know he's going to put in a scintillating performance. Different tactics. Think he'll go off in front and blow them away. Marine Nationale might just have a fight on his hands after Sunday.

    C'mon the Copper !!!

Agree he'll need to step up on last time but we know Willie is a miracle man plus Mister Policeman works like a very good horse at home so hopefully he can transfer that to the track now. Think they'll try front running this time and make far more use of him. Need to find out if he's their Arkle horse. They bloody need a good one to trouble Marine that's for sure.

        • Very interesting comment from Ruby on Mark Your Card. Re Mister Policeman:

“I hope Mister Policeman has stepped forward from his debut at Fairyhouse. I think it would be great if he went and put in a big performance today and we’d have him to take on Marine Nationale and Found a Fifty at the DRF.”

I thought it intersting that Ruby didn’t mention Facile Vega. It could just be that he meant it would be nice to have MP in addition to FV etc but Ruby is normally very careful with his words. I wonder if the Flogas is the plan at DRF? To test Willie’s theory that he might want a step up in trip.

          • I've decided to go in again on Mister Policeman with Hills 12/1 NRNB. I'm thinking he puts in a good performance today or he doesn't go.

DRF entries not revealed much as Mullins has given his multiple entries as usual. Gaelic Warrior does have the Arkle option as an entry though. Probably nothing

            • Will be interesting to see if Willie declares Blood Destiny for the Grade 3 over 2m3f on Sunday. That race has been won by lots of decent horse (impervious, Bob Olinger, Envoi Allen) who've gone on to run well over 2m4f at Cheltenham. If BD takes up that engagement it's probably less likely we see him at the DRF but not impossible as he'd have nearly 3 weeks to recover. If BD wins that Grade 3 well I think 12/1 NRMB for the Turners could look very generous indeed (16's available if you have a really strong view). A few other views reinforce the Turners being the target. Aside from persisting at intermediate trips (if declared) I don't think trainers are going to be queuing up to take on MN in the Arkle. Regardless of whether or not you think FV is a busted flush, I think they will be stubborn and persist with 2m because GW looks their Turners horse and I cant see Willie sending two big stable stars to the same race. I actually think GW is worth taking on. It's impossible to escape the fact that he's clearly better right handed and he's blotted his copybook twice now, both at Cheltenham. Fair to level the same accusation at BD who blew out in the Triumph but he looks a different animal over fences. When you access the horses that sit between BD and GW in the Turner's market you're dealing with 8 horses. 3 of them are OFTS, IEF is favouring a French campaign, I have it on good authority CC goes NHC and FTF has been all the rage for the BANC. That leaves FV and Found A Fifty. If, like me, you believe Willie will persist with 2m with FV then you're talking about one decent rival in FAF standing in Blood Destiny's way. There is no way a double figure price will hold if events transpire as I think they will so 12/1 NRMB looks very solid and value IMO

Yeah, like him a lot and for me the best fencing I’ve seen from a nov chaser at 2-2m4 this season.
Ive backed him nrnb for both Arkle and Turners.
Think he will be shorter for whichever race he turns up in at Cheltenham.

He's been declared Sunday over 2m3f and opened 4/9. I like that move from Willie. My worry was he'd step back in trip with a sight on the Arkle but this declaration makes that more unlikely. Think the market will cotton on soon enough and he'll be a single figure NRMB price

He's got to absolutely bolt in on the race on Sunday getting all that weight, from what should be, realistically, his only rival.

He will . Imagine is 2/2 and run to a decent enough level so when he pisses in vs him then we can get excited about having a crack at bigger fish off levels in march

                        Yeah see that for Sunday.
He must be winning that i would think.
He could still run in either I reckon , and guess it could well depend on Mr P performance today and FV next time?
Hes certainly been more impressive jumping wise than both of those thus far.

Imagine beat a 140's horse by half a length in a rubbish Grade 2. I like Imagine, but he's not top table material.

Blood Destiny will also be getting zero lbs from anything at the festival, and taking into account his run last season in the Triumph, I struggle to get too excited about him (I was all over him for the Triumph, so I do like him), however, I do agree that his price will be gone when he pisses in on Sunday
