Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

As a backer of stay away fay I'm all for this over going for the Reynoldston in ascot in mid feb

Yeh the record of horses running at Ascot and winning at Cheltenham is appalling. Cheltenham experience over fences could be invaluable for him.

          • Aye, I'm keen on the plan as well. I'm all for having my dreams shattered before the big day

As a racing fan, I like the way Nicholls is campaigning one or two of his down some unconventional but competitive routes at the moment. Even if it didn't go well last weekend...

            • Stay Away Fay is entered into the Gold Cup...is the Cotswold entry Nicholls sizing that possibility up??

I like that he's done that as it shows the regard he holds him in but I'd be amazed if Paul of all people did that. He's the sort that will happily skip cheltenham to wait for more winnable races at Aintree so the notion of him throwing SAF into a Gold Cup just doesn't compute for me.

I'd imagine what Galopin did the other day means there's almost zero chance of that happening

But if he does run in the cotswold and happened to win easily a conversation may take place

Though likely a very brief one before they decide to go for the novice race

                  • Aye, it would seem unlikely. 20s NRNB is probably fair enough though. As much as I'd like more. I think he's either shorter than that on the day or a non runner. 99% the latter...

                      20s nrnb is arguably massive

The only way he'd run is if he bolted up in the Cotswold chase

And if he did he'd likely end up being joint 2nd or 3rd fav for the gold cup

That depends on who he beats in the Cotswold.
If it's Nassalam and Ahoy Senor or similar then no.

He won;t run in the Gold cup if GDC and others at the head of the market are fit IMO

I tend to agree with this. But that makes the 20s NRNB even better doesn't it.

I think I'm talking myself into it. As he's currently my main BANC player and I couldn't handle him turning up in a GC.

If it buys you peace of mind have at it. I'd put the likelihood at 1% myself.

I did likewise 5 posts up. But I've taken some anyway for the peace of mind. They can borrow my money for a couple of months.

                              • B365 have greyed out my Indiana Dream bet for the Turners. Anyone heard anything? It’s often an ominous sign.
