Monty’s Star impressed me no end today, I thought the heavy going & inexperience would give TCB the impetus but Monty jumped him ragged. Rachel was gaining lengths at each fence without asking a question. He’s a big raw unit but the skys the limit for him over fences.

Wouldn’t be discounting Three Card Brag for the NHC either. Monty’s Star just jumped him into submission today & had a better turn of foot as a result of that.

Just gone back over the conversation yesterday re Monty’s Star.
Have now decided that it makes sense to cover for BANC
The 20’s available with the cash out option is very fair imo

I'm keeping an eye on petit tonnerre, looks to me like he's been very tenderly handled in his three chase runs and can see him popping up in a handicap somewhere, festival possibly ?

I thought he ran a very good race, still wouldn't be sure whether he'll end up in the banc or nhc though.

IMO at this time Grangeclare West and Nick Rockett would be Willies BANC horses based on what we've seen this far.

GW ran a 158 RPR last time & is fav for BANC….can’t see him going NHC

Embassy Gdns ran 144 & only needs a chase run to qualify ….,seems more likely one for NHC

BANC - Grangeclare West, Nick Rockett
NHC - Embassy Gardens, Minella Cocooner

Couple most likely changes ..,,,

Arkle - GW or FTF ? (Think might try one at DRF with FV)

Not sure Mister Policeman or Sharjah good enough, but could pop up in first two

Tend to agree …Think MC more likely one ….ran decent rating last time & second season ….plus it’s been mentioned I think by PM himself

Also poss NR is the one as I mentioned, but best to see the races thru lens of Paul first & his rides, then JP ones & hence I think as current form stands prob above ….tho DRF could obviously change things
