Every right to go for the BANC on what he's produced thus far. Easily as good a level as what The Real Whacker showed at this time last year yeah ?

16/1 is probably a fair price for Broadway Boy for the BANC. Not sure he is quite good enough to win it from what I have seen and currently lacks real graded racing experience (Stepped up to a grade 3 handicap, the highest grade he has raced) so has plenty to prove when taking on more than one graded class horse in a genuine graded race. He would have a better chance in the NHC but then you could say that about a lot of the BANC horses if competing at a lower grade. As a trend follower as well then will always have nagging doubts as a 6yo in the race for the reasons previously been mentioned.

Ella McNeil confirms Three Card Brag to be aimed at the National Hunt Chase (no big surprise). I assume Salvador Ziggy will go. Will Elliott send a third in Favori de Champdou, or will he be aimed at the staying handicaps in Ireland or the BANC?
Which amateurs will he use without Codd - Rob James? Swans been riding the bumper horses but they may want more experience than him. O'Neill and Hamilton have rode Samcro in the p2ps. O'Connor may not have a McManus ride so could be called in.

It’s not my bag but Three Card Brag is a must have for anyone building a book. He’s a big dour yoke races behind the bridle & needs every yard of 3m6f.
Gordon will be struggling for top amateur jocks at this stage with Ziggy, FDC & this fella all being targeted at the race. Cullentra NHC & XC double should be a safe double!Last edited by SeanRock; 17 December 2023, 10:16 PM.

I'm a bit surprised, I was told they'd be going the same route Gerri Colombe went from this point
The related double with Corbetts Cross needs considering at 120/1
Three Card Brag (NH Chase)
Corbetts Cross (BANC)

just a note on jockeys for the NH CHASE
Jockeys- All jockeys riding in the National Hunt Chase must have ridden a minimum of 20 times and achieved at least five winners over fences.
- All qualifying rides must have come in races staged under Rules (i.e. excluding point-to-point races).
