  • All over 8/1 for BANC. Christmas come early. Sensible article on sportinglife racing today about GW.

    • Another one if willies post race brain farts, that’s been misinterpreted by the twitterati and podcasters.
where Willie sends his staying novices at Xmas will have more to do with the prevailing ground at leopardstown and limerick rather than the race distance or festival destination.

Our timefigure guru Graeme North analyses the big action from last week where Gaelic Warrior made a huge impression on his chasing debut.

What do you think Mullins will run in the Turners?

                  • Not sure yet. Probably 2 or 3 of his lesser lights. DRF placed behind winners of the 2m and 2m5f race.

                    • I have a bit of cover in both….so not talking with pocket ….but I don’t see case why he would go Browns?

                      - Attacks fences similar to GDC did as novice
                      - Ran in Ballymore & only 3m race is at Punch
                      - Browns more likely to leave mark on horse
                      - Browns has more jumps & is on a tight turning LH course, where as Turners course is much less so

I understand Willie loves bingo & could be influenced by other horses & going near time …,hence I want cover both ways on what looks best novice .. but if he were mine, I would 100% go Turners

When he says he may have to reconsider what distance it's a little more than a brain fart.
It's exactly what it says on the tin, he might be changing plans

This article was out earlier than today- as i read it on Tuesday, nevermind the date stamp.
Even so, where does this back up anything on the BANC.
Guinness Village maybe better to confirm, i dunno maybe i'm just skimming.

But still not a Festival winner in two visits to the holy grail. No mention at all of that in the article which is very poor journalism. We simply cannot ignore the fact he was absolutely thrown in for the Fred Winter but failed to win and was then made to look quite ordinary by his stablemate in the Ballymore. No matter what he does between now and March there will always be that huge Q mark ........'is he the same horse around Prestbury '. At the moment it's a big "No".

                            • Il Etait Temp could quite easily be a turners horse, the step up to two and a half wouldn't be a problem on breeding. He'll just need to show that he can jump tomorrow.
