Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, very impressed with his jumping. Iroko caught his eye as well of the Novice Chasers.

You watch all of the JP novices on their first outing. The jockeys primary role is to educate and make sure the horse enjoys the experience. Very rarely will the whip be used on a bumper or novice hurdler unless the race is there to be won. Its all about the future

        • Agree PP. Corbetts Cross was another they appeared to be looking after. Ruby mentioned him as well and how his jumping warmed up as the race went on. JP really does have some serious ammo this season. Crazy good.

          • Should we also rw-look at that bumper form?

Not first year it initially looks good, but quickly looks average at best

CT yest was poor ….and is FTF actually good as many think ??

Think there were prob some good novices running bumpers last season, but not sure re ones that ran at Chelt

            • Faugheen Novice G1 chase at Limerick likely next for American Mike. Gerri Colombe won this years race.

              • I reckon Mark Walsh being a bit crap is being done a few favours with the talks of gentle introductions...

No potential grade 1 spring horse for any trainer or owner is going to be primed to the tilt and given everything first time out for the season, I'd agree with that
But it just happens to be he rides for JP and fails to put half of them into the race at the right times. Did the same on the mare in the opening hurdle.

                • Keep an eye out for Limerick on Dec 26th and a 2m3f mares maiden hurdle. JP will have the family down for the day!

                  • Haven't had a chance to express opinions on the novice chase performances from the weekend until now.

Facile Vega I thought was satisfactory for a Novice Chase debut. I did get the feeling Inthepocket wasn't ever asked to get properly involved in a race though, that said FV stayed on really well after the last, but my god he looked an absolute unit! Plenty to come from both, I'm sure.

Interesting to see the Flooring Porter form stacking up with the Twiston-Davies novice chaser absolutely bolting up in what I considered to be a fair enough race. Not yet got involved in Flooring Porter, not sure I want to at his current price but will keep an eye out for his next entry and may be one for the WTAF specials on the day.

Thought American Mike done it really well today. Much more what I was expecting from him. Was expecting a little more from FTF but potential excuses. Backed American Mike now for the BANC. Missed the fancy prices, mind. Will not make any rash decisions regarding FTF.

25/1 is surely classed as a fancy price still?

The 40/1 other people got for a fiver shouldn't put you off.... get your spacehoppers out mate (just a joke to rib COD before anyone with the 40s thinks I'm ribbing them)

I won't be getting my spacehoppers out for American Mike. I lost enough money on him last season

I'll probably top up on him. FWIW I've added the Found A Fifty / American Mike double you mentioned, so basically got a 545/1 winner in waiting

Haha, I can't wait for that to land

                              • I was impressed with AM & FTF seemed a well run race for a beginners on heavy ground and the sectionals I done compare very favourably to the beginners on Saturdays card. AM proved to be the fitter horse on the day.
