He’s definitely qualified. The criteria is a minimum of 2 runs in chases, one of which requires a top 4 finish over a distance 2 miles 7 1/2 furlongs.

Arkle - In The Pocket (Supplemented)
Turners - Iroko
Browns - Fact To File
NH Chase - Corbetts Cross
We thinking this is the most likely outcome? In a normal year I'd say ITP & Iroko wouldn't be going to the festival and would have very little hope after one run, but this season I think it's a 'Why not' thought, and I'm on board with it. Iroko is still a big player in the turners IMO, especially if FTF does go Browns. I know he didn't beat much on his chasing debut but he hacked up, jumped well, and you know he goes well fresh, very much an each way player and wouldn't suprise me he if he scooped the win!

There’s a few people I know with an obsession with Inthepocket being a top horse. He hasn’t one piece of form to suggest he could win a Cheltenham Arkle. Hes a grade 2 horse, never mind the fact he’s had a crap prep and 1 chase start. He can be easily dismissed for the festival this year whether he turns up or not

The McManus scratchings were pretty surprising (to me) and presumably not arrived at just last night. Still trying to work out what I think it means..
Either JP is happy for FTF to go to either and let Iroko take his chance or he is being helpful to punters and laying out a game of join the dots:
Turners Iroko
BANC …..
NH Chase Corbetts
