  • Willie’s yard has loads of blue in the BANC, shades of the Arkle from last year when he name dropped Appreciate It, El Fab, Flame Bearer & DD.

      • Sounds like they’ll be sorting out their peking order on the racecourse.

          • Not sure about the significance of a lot of the market changes today. Bar, the change in the queen mum with the news of energumene set back.
time will tell, but it looks like the balls are still rolling in the Mullins bingo machine

              • Exactly, only last week that he was staying hurdling. Perhaps they’ll change their minds with IEP and garlic

                  • FTF would be very interesting in what looks a weak crop of novice chaser for mid-staying trips.

Does anyone know when Mullins usually starts schooling his winter novice chasers?

Do you not think Sharjah is a free stab with him likely a shortener from now? The Turners could turn out to be a very open renewal and he could easily be one of the standouts

Agree with the other point made by nwfb for the book approach also if that's how some play.
Sharjah looks good at this stage, and much like Faugheen I'll probably be toughing it out and watching with clenched teeth I reckon. Then some other bitch will win anyway like Samcro did.
But anyone on at double figures looks likely to get a run for their money. He's a class act for sure, just not the type I'd back at this stage. He may be one to shorten initially but then come back out if beaten.

And Tahmuras price is only just about fair at 50-1 as the odds of him doing a Stage Star are probably higher. So you're more on the right side than the wrong for certain.

I am likely to build a partial book for this race, but have not taken Sharjah price just yet, maybe a win today small stakes is on the cards at some point. This is in case he lines up in a key trial against proper rivals and is still going strong.

                      • Continuous support for Fact To File today, still some 20's floating about but as short as 10's in places.

and yet SkyBet are 20's who are associated with Sporting Life

William Hill are taking a strong position, now industry shortest for BANC & Turners pushing him out to 16/1 for Ballymore

                            • Facile Vega now bigger price with Skybet for Arkle (pushed out to 11/2) than Turners (cut to 5's)

                              • Fact to file could be a massive player in the turners if he’s confirmed chasing as expected looking at the markets. Ran well to finish second in the champion bumper despite looking like he needed a bit further so isn’t devoid of pace. I could see Willie running him here like he did with GDC instead of the banc
