Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Assumed Patrick looks after him a bit like Mr Incredible.

On that Note, I assume Patrick gets a few to look after anyways, as practice for the sad day his dad stops.
    Yeah , spot on.
Good buddies those, Patrick bought the horse himself and sold to Byrne pre race.

        Yeah, he was very good.

I got involved when I saw he was still 20/1 after his performance which was ridiculous. I still think 14/1 is a big price.

Could shorten up further tomorrow as I think Pricewise may have tipped him up. Do you think he'll run again before Cheltenham?

I struggle to see where he could run now, unfortunately.

Could possibly go to the DRF, but I imagine Facile Vega, potentially Gaelic Warrior, Il Etait Temps & Blood Destiny could also turn up there.

I think he might just go straight to the Arkle now, which should hold his price up enough.

Not entered for DRF which is why I asked. Agree he's likely to go straight there and I do believe he'll be PT's ride on the day.

              • In the last 10 seasons Willie's had more than 2 runners in the NHC just once (3 runners).

He has had 2 runners on three occasions but has relied on just one runner the other 6 years.

Yeah, looked at this a few pages back

Only really got Patrick now and from memory he doesn't throw random darts

Decided to answer my own question....... last 10 seasons....

                  2013 - 1 runner - Back In Focus - 1st - Patrick
                  2014 - 1 runner - Suntiep - 3rd - Patrick
                  2015 - 1 runner - Perfect Gentleman - Patrick
                  2016 - 3 runners - Pleasant Company 25/1 PU Lavery / Pont Alexandre 15/2 PU Patrick / Measureofmydreams 3rd 9/1 Katie
                  2017 - 2 runners - Haymount 33/1 3rd Patrick / Abre De Vie Katie PU
                  2018 - 2 runners - Rathvinden 1st Patrick / Lylonthepressure 5th Katie
                  2019 - 1 runner - Ballyward - Fell - Patrcik
                  2020 - 1 runner - Carefully Selected - Patrick UR
                  2021 - 1 runner - Lord Royal - Patrick 7th
                  2022 - 1 runner - Stattler - 1st - Patrick
                  2023 - 2 runners - Gaillard Du Mesnil 1st Patrick / Tenzing 4th N McParlan

I think the Katie Walsh bookings for the 3 years in a row skew is slightly too .... I'd say they just ran a horse because of her for those 3 years, giving us only 2 times they've entered more than 1 ....

He wants his son to win it, they'll aim 1 good dart .... that's my takeaway from this very limited 'research'

Have we worked out the two yet?

                  Still think it'll be 1

Odds on it'll be Embassy Gardens and Meetingofthewaters IMO. The Latter already qualified and the former just needs to run in 1 more chase over any distance. Reckon Patrick rides the latter due to his affiliation with the horse.

Nick Rockett in to 6/1 with PP, 5/1 NRNB

Interesting. They have Embassy Gardens 13/2 so slightly bigger.

Flooring Porter 8/1 NRNB is interesting.... a dual Stayers Hurdle winner won't be 8/1 against this gaggle of shite will he?

Personally believe NR will go BANC. PT seemed impressed by him last time and he was ridden like a decent horse. Looks to have plenty of pace as well and he is yet to run the Q distance.

                        I can't have FP at all .

Ziggy wins it IMO. Was very impressed with him over the Summer and if he hadn't gone to America then he'd be all the rage on here. Lovely rest since avoiding all the bad ground which is no bad thing. Very good jumper, travels beautifully and has a bit of class about him.

                            • I backed hunters yarn after the race other day as he was available at 25s or 28s boosted with Ladbroke straight after
but still think he’s no chance unless it cuts up.
the time was rubbish and he clouts fences.
all about the price really and like lobos said a potential Townend ride.
