  • I thought Nicholls was cold on Knappers Hill’s jumping in his Betfair interview posted Thursday. He mentioned the possibility of returning hurdling if jumping fences didn’t work out. That must be tempting now as your imagine he’d be favourite for anything CH isn’t running in.

Wow!! Is that what he’s earned so far??
This trainer sure knows how to get the best in prize money for his owners.

Knappers Hill has won 3/3 Bumpers and 7/13 Hurdle races. Why would you feel the need to say that.

He's probably had a few ciders at Chepstow with Spectre and is just having a laugh. No malice intended.

Yep. Think he said he was on the small side so that could be an issue re chasing.

Ah. Apologies. Did not consider that option.

                No apology required BTT

His head carriage the entire way round looked dodgy

Got absolutely no chance at cheltenham
                  I agree.

Chepstow is a traditional starting point for Paul Nicholls with his winter horses.

How many of his recent winners there have won at Cheltenham 5 months later?

It's hardly been a flowing seam of Festival champions being started there, more a really enjoyable couple of days racing to launch the autumn/winter NH season in GB.

Bumped into Mr and Mrs Spectre last night and what a lovely couple ( even if I didn’t recognise him) Spectre explained to me that KH is a stone better going right handed. So why run KH on a left handed track? Wasn’t taken with KH at all.

Get on him AP for the Kauto Star Novice chase.

If it's a starting point and he thought he had as much in hand as the ratings might of suggested, coupled with the fact he was 3/3 at the course, it would hardly of been a concern as to start him there tbf.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking.
And looking at the form book, I’m struggling to see evidence that KH is a stone better right handed.

Maybe the trainer disagrees with Spectre?

                            • Spectre is going over fences? Would have had him down for the nearly 4miler but he's shown a good bit of pace on tiktok this season so might be worth getting onside in the Turners.

I'm not sure he's robust enough to make it to March
