Just realised that SAF beat Monty’s Star in his point win

Yep, 6L separated them that day. Will obv progressed at different rates but we know we haven't seen the best of MS yet.

I've added Monty's Star (MS) @ 40/1 for the BANC. That price sees like a massive over reaction IMO. He drifted like a barge pre debut to the point where it was obvious nobody fancied him to win or even run well. Made sense as one look at him and he was carrying loads of condition - he was enormous. All that said, he's ran a race fit rival to 3L over a trip too short and posted a debut RPR of 140. It's was a massive run with loads of promise. The winner, who posted a debut RPR of 124 obviously had race fitness on his side, but he wouldn't be anywhere near as good a jumper as MS who jumped superbly. We'll probably next see MS in the Neville Hotels Novice Chase where he reposes CC who is 5/1 second fav. Could easily see him reversing that form if he comes on for the run and improves for a step up in trip, both things that realistic to expect IMO. He obviously comes with risks as a 40/1 shot but he's a good 40/1 shot that you are likely to find, IMO of course.

As a side note, loved that from SAF yesterday. The second has been a big talking horse for a while but SAF despatched him no problem and came out the race as the best horse, under conditions that probably wouldn't have suited. Happy to have them both onside but I'd be pretty sure SAF would beat Giovinco were they to meet again.

Will they not run Montys star in another begginers chase next?

Like the bet he has plenty of scope to go off considerably shorter

Indiana Dream impressive then. Full of beans at the end and the others very tired.

Indiana Dream for the BANC @ 50/1 who makes his chase debut tomorrow at Navan in a hot enough looking contest, could be interesting.

Thought his hurdle debut in January of this year over 2m4f at Fairyhouse was very good. The form of which has worked out pretty well, with the 2nd, An Mhi winning 4 times this season and now rated 131. He was beat 15 lengths by Indiana Dream. The horse in 3rd won his next two races and is now rated 125. The horse in 4th is still a maiden but went close next time out in a grade 3, only some 3 and a bit lengths behind Buddy One (now rated 150) that day. Overall the form is solid enough for a maiden hurdle.

Indiana Dream is by Cokoriko, a sire who has produced Coko Beach (161 rated staying chaser), Iroko (Martin Pipe winner & very good on his chase debut but for picking up an injury), Icare Allen, who looks primed for a big performance in the Pertemps over 3m, and others that ultimately have looked like staying types. He is out of a dam (Tamise) that produced a decent staying chaser over in France, Ebonite, who won Grade 2 and 3 races.

With JP losing Iroko through injury and Fact To File seemingly disappointing against America Mike, I wonder if this lad could be his BANC horse. He's a big enough price to find out.

50/1 is a lovely price to be on him at, hopefully some followed in.

Needs to tidy his jumping up a bit but nevertheless, a nice enough debut.

In fact I've just taken the 25s for the Turners.

It's thanks to your write up that I used him in a WTAF at 40/1 any race today so thank you wasn't expecting a performance as good as that when he blundered at the last on the home straight first time around!

As good a performance from such an inexperienced horse I've seen for a very long time, he's got sooo much scope for improvement! Was very happy to go back in and top up with the 33s as he sauntered down the run in. Exceptional prospect, hardest part will be keeping him fit and well I presume.

As good a performance from such an inexperienced horse I've seen for a very long time, he's got sooo much scope for improvement! Was very happy to go back in and top up with the 33s as he sauntered down the run in. Exceptional prospect, hardest part will be keeping him fit and well I presume.

Someone laid me some 55's on the machine before the race but didn't fulfil my full stake.

Great job on the 160s though, despite the after timing

Think he lost his place because he hit the fence before tbh.

Just me thinking Indiana Dream is more of a Turners horse then! Will see what connections are saying.

I've not re-watched but to my eye he'd started to lose a bit of ground, others going better. I was very taken with that from Indiana Dream, given most of Mullins are needing a run, and his lack of experience, I'd say there's a huge amount to come. The 25's turners and 20s Browns are probably still fair

I personally think he is a BANC horse and have just taken the 20s available. There's so many nice staying novices!! Hoping Willie sends him to the BANC which means JP will have him and Corbetts Cross so hopefully...Fact To File can then be aimed at the Turners as he jumps so well at speed imo.
