    • 9th April. Apparently you can’t find the AB winner early doors

Nice to have one offset all the garbage in my preseason ramblings.

Really poor festival for me, unfortunately.
You have more important things in life to worry about. Horse racing should be way down the list. Priorities.

….got him in my book on the 9th Apr @ 33-1 then topped at 28-1 after decs. He then goes and wins at 33-1, amazing effort but I’m not sure ante-post is supposed to work like that.

Great early shout JackieMoon33 & Saxon Warrior. You exploded the AB myth, now give us next years winner.

Wingmen? Just going by race trends of Gordy horses! (!and others) Know damn all about pedigree or ability! But trend of AB horses and if want to look even further ahead 2026, 3mile chasers down the line.

Wingmen is on the provisional list although I’m a little concerned that he’s already worn a hood. Nicholls will have a strong hand I think and I’m hoping Captain Bellamy will prove a tough stayer for him.

I’d not be confident of getting it right again though

Edit: Just seen Captain Bellamy got stuffed again. I had some high hopes for Nicholls staying novice hurdlers next season but may have to rethink that.

And the year before, scooby put up Jazzy Matty for the Boodles so FJ is pretty exceptional to uncover winners of those two races so far out before the horses can even meet too many seasonal trends.

It'd be great if someone can tell me the winner of next year's mares novice as I've ballsed that race up every year so far...

…..tbf, the early 50-1 Jade and 20-1 BDA were very good shouts. I don’t think anybody predicted the winner. I’m sure FJs will have a few lined up.

We keep getting sucked into the Irish hotpots in this race. Even when Dysart Enos was out, I reckon most of us just felt even more so that it was a toss up between BDA and Jade.

Could not agree more and is another one of my boring opinions I trot out every season
Kudasheva is another who was popular one year. She was purchased for 370k and is still a maiden over hurdles rated 113!
