  • Personally I think all of these moves have been people or a group of people taking advantage of mullins bingo to manipulate markets with low liquidity

Easy to see how they'd green up basically every horse riding the highs and lows

Suspect it'll be a yearly thing now

I thought this initially too... but going on that theory, if JP knew that Ballyburn was going to the Supreme, which was apparently the cause a few days ago, and then traders are just playing the market causing the current prices, why would Mystical Power now be sat at double figures for the Bingham? Or whatever it's called now.

Surely JP and anyone associated with him with that information would continue to smash up Ballyburn for the Supreme and Mystical Power for the Bingham, regardless of the market moves? That £307 at 3.7 has been sat there all day with no takers, that would have been gobbled in an instant if it were just traders IMO.

There isn't near enough liquidity on the exchange antepost markets for a JP sized bet until the day itself

Still plenty of people who were apparently in the know to cause the market movements last week... even if it's not JP himself

          • Im ready for it all to end now

Has seemed to be the worst season for bingo with Ballyburn and Mystical

            • Didn't Willie run his around the Curragh today for their final racecourse gallop before the festival? I haven't got a clue how the exchanges really work tbh but is it informative about market moves after his squad have been out today

The moves had already been made yesterday, nothing out of the ordinary has happened regarding willies on the exchange that I can see today

                  Where they in the know?

Or did they want people to think they were in the know to manipulate the market and get some free money

                  • Over the last couple of weeks, there's been the opportunity to lay off stakes on Ballyburn at 2/1 to 3/1 for both the Supreme and Ballymore at various points. If you've got him at say 14/1 in each race, you could have layed stakes off for free bets at decent odds and reinvest the stakes back on race day for whichever he has been declared for. Something to consider for next year's round of Mullins bingo and saves the worrying about what race he goes for.

                      Quite possibly.

My point is that if you think the market moves last week were notable and from people in the know, then you can't write off the ones from the past day or so as just people manipulating the market. And the common consensus from last week was that JP was told where Ballyburn was heading.

If you think that both were/are people manipulating the market, then fair enough!

You’d have been far better off betting him for both races at the 25/1 and 16/1 that were available for a good while.

                              Absolutely, proper gambling .
None of this TWAR, that’s for wimps imo.

….not bad using the double odds boost in that market.
