As someone who works in advertising/marketing, I gotta say racing's currently inability to retain sponsors and changing the names last minute is actually the opposite of what makes a sponsorship attractive and is probably long term doing a fair bit of damage

Jewsons used to be a handicap. I remember travelling down from Sheffield to stay in Swindon then only just getting to Cheltenham on time to see Mattie Bradstock win the Jewson handicap for Bradstock on King Harald. 10-1 winner first and went downhill pretty quick after that.

The Jewson Novices' Chase was upgraded to Grade One by the British Horseracing Board from its 2014 running. The race's registered unsponsored title is the Golden Miller Novices' Chase, although it has always been run under sponsored titles.

I know we are all bored witless of the Ballyburn talk, but the volumes being laid in the Supreme market the last 24 hrs or so suggests someone with a reasonable bankroll thinks he's not going there. Shrapnel being laid in the longer race.

Yeah was a hundred here or there last week... this feels a bit different to me tbh. More significant volumes. Could be one punter with a view but I think its telling myself.
