Have you seen the entries? If it goes pear shaped against that lot he wouldn't be winning any G1 novice hurdle at the festival.

We all know Henderson favours the Supreme, greatly, over any other novice hurdle race at the festival, and why wouldn't he, he continues down this path of 2m whether novice chasing the following season or the Champion Hurdle, and is very very good with horses that go down this path.

Could win and feel much more like a Ballymore type ?

In the scenario they all went to Supreme he would likely get the ride on Mystical Power.

I can't imagine Mullins cares much what Mark Walsh thinks. But that was the original point of the post I was replying to.

I expect Mullins will split his best two for sure.
Got it and that makes sense.

Just thinking aloud. Positive its not decided yet as some may think.

        • I would imagine Frank Berry cares what Mark Walsh thinks, and that’s what matters

Strongest race he's been in. The other two unbeaten Hurdlers are really well thought of by connections and BP's horse won a decent Bumper at Cheltenham last year. It won't be a stroll. Agree with what you say with Nicky and his two millers but a precautionary Ballymore entry would still have made sense. I'm surprised JP let it happen.

It is, but that's not saying much. It's an average enough race. Jonbon faced better opposition when he won the race. I'm really hoping the handbrake comes off but I can imagine JP & his pals wanting a price on the day so they'll probably not take it off for this race.

              • Don't think I've seen this mentioned, but Jack Kennedy said on RTC this morning that he would like to ride the following:

                Supreme - Firefox
                Ballymore - Caldwell Potter
                Albert Bartlett - Croke Park

Would have been a complete waste of time and money.
Horse has always been a Supreme horse(if he proved good enough for festival)and never been mentioned as a possible Ballymore horse.

Walsh gets the ride on the JP Irish horses, even if with Willie (there's a couple he lets Rachel ride though). He will have the ride on Mystical Power whether he's in the Supreme or Ballymore and Willie has no say on that, if Walsh wants that as his ride.

Walsh will give feedback to Frank and JP on Jeriko, Mirazur West, Mystical Power and No Flies on Him and they'll then make a decision on who goes where.

Jeriko obviously goes to the Supreme and will be Nicos ride. It's then whether Walsh fancies any of the other 3 to beat Jeriko and if not, does Walsh tell them to put the best of the 3 to the Ballymore (maximise his chance of a festival win), the 2nd best goes to the Supreme as Walsh's ride and the 3rd goes wherever.

.....apart from when Nicky said he'd be ok stepping out in trip.

You're right here. I'm getting confused with Walsh and JP. And Jacob and M&S here. And their respective set ups with Mullins horses. It's been a long week

Yep, and you made 5 out of 2 plus 2

I’m confused as well……what’s Marks and Spencer’s got to do with it?
