I took 5/2 about Ile Atlantique in a double with Ballyburn (Supreme). Hoping he proves himself here which frees up Ballyburn for the Supreme. I think he'll be Paul's ride. Walsh on Mystical Power if he runs, Daryl on Readin Tommy Wrong, Patrich on Chapeau, and Danny on Lecky.
A Christmas special with Gordon Elliott as he goes through all his Christmas runners at Leopardstown, Limerick, Down Royal & Aintree #winners #racing #horsec...
At 9 minutes. Sounds like he's wanting to play slowly slowly with him ready for chasing next year

What's the attraction with Ballyburn for the Supreme?
He's got a mountain of horses he can run in the Ballymore according to Ruby. Most of them entered in Lawlors.
Quoted from his sporting life column
Ballyburn won his maiden on Friday and improved hugely. He did everything right and that puts his season right back on track. I'm very pleased he got a win at Leopardstown for his owners Ronnie Bartlett and David Manasseh.
We'll see what his next race will be, we have a lot of staying types in the Lawlor's of Naas so we won't make any decisions until after we've seen the Naas race.
What's the attraction with Ballyburn for the Supreme?
My thoughts would be as follows.
Willie has no obvious Supreme candidate yet with his 2milers disappointing so far.
Ballyburn put in the best maiden hurdle performance I've seen this year albeit on his second try.
The type of race that was, where it was a canter until Ballyburn wound it up 3f out, is no better indication of whether he'd be best suited to 2m or 2m5f.
Willie said in the aftermath there's no need to step him up to 2m6f at the DRF. Therefore, he may well run over 2m and, if winning, would surely head this way.
Willie then said in his SL column that they've not decided his route yet and noted they'd a lot of stayers in the Lawlor's (thus my thinking re the double).
Ruby said on RTC x LTR that that he'd be sending Ballyburn to the Supreme (and joked that Willie might not listed to him).
If Ile Atlantique, or any of the others for that matter, beat Gordon's lot (particularly Firefox), I think Willie would be pretty confident that horse could win the Ballymore and might then be keen to send Ballyburn to the Supreme.

Yep, I'm massively against Ballyburn (for supreme) on breeding and his supreme price early on was unattractive also, after his debut and his head carriage I was even more convinced, but there was something about his run the other day, coupled with his 2 milers running poorly upped in grade that made me think otherwise. So I've since covered at small stakes at 20+ to 1 on exchange and using double odds with MGM. I also did the related double with sky at 16-1 with Ile atlantque 16-1, before they dropped the price.
I'm on Jeriko also and have doubled him with Ballyburn for the Ballymore, so this cover made sense given my positions.
I'm hoping Ile Atlantique wins the Lawlors.
And fully expect Ballyburn to run in the 2 miler at Dublin, with Townend riding so likely Favourite also.
Nothing on Firefox for any race, but the concern that his maiden win might be very strong form is looking more likely, so I'll be considering him this week for a WTAF I reckon.
Personally think it's the wrong race for Firefox. No reason to step him up imo. Stick to 2m. Think he'll get outstayed.
He'd see out 3m for me so the Ballymore wouldn't be a problem. Think he will beat these comfortably this weekend and its between him and Ballyburn for the Ballymore.
I think 2m would suit him just as well though but I think a couple of others could just do him for toe.

Fair points. Breeding along with the some of his other quotes from WPM, suggest to me it's the Ballymore.
However, purely as cover i might have to take him for the Supreme in case the Lawlor's does throw up a WPM winner which might push them to really consider it.
