  • If they intend to turn up in March, the trials day grade 2 looks the perfect race for him to see how he handles the course.
He does look big and a little clumsy, and doesn't look like he does anything quickly, but this is deceptive as he's got some engine for sure and the quicker they go the better for him I reckon, as it'll focus him.

        2025 BANC potential contender

The type that will get outspeeded in a ballymore
I respect your opinion but watch his races back again, when has this horse ever looked "outspeeded"?
Better jumping he'd have the speed for the supreme

Fair bit of speed shown there on that ground
Big player in the Ballymore imo
Looked more of a staying performance to me on that very soft ground

A Challow like performance of a future staying chaser that gets beat in the ballymore written all over him

A horse for connections very much to look forward too

Be amazed if he’s in anything other than Supreme if he’s good enough to go to Cheltenham

There’s a fair chance that more than one will get beat in the Ballymore and end up staying chasers.
He might be one of course, but that race and others shows he’s a worthy contender.

not the type I normally look to get on side for a ballymore. The success iv had is backing ones with genuine 2 mile speed and as a non book builder il only be backing 2 or 3 so can't back them all.

                      Looks a very nice type.

Can understand that. He does look like the type that would need it to be soft enough, or they go a real gallop end to end. These types sometimes prevail, but if you are looking at just 2 or 3 then he's one you may leave for a while and hope.
After watching that today I think he may be deceptively quick though. However, the deception may have been the opposition as it was only a novices hurdle.

                          He does look huge!

Had a chuckle when he was side by side with East India Express, absolutely dwarfed him!

Definitely a 3m chaser down the line. It’s always hard to gauge speed on that sort of ground etc I think. He’s done it easy on close to heavy. He wouldn’t be out of place in the Ballymore or Spud at present imo.

Agree with FF it was a similar Challow sort of performance to what Nicholls has won last couple of years.

Can only do what he’s done though and he’s done it easily

Yep, you'd worry at the very top level that on good ground something with a little more class/speed would do him, especially if they go steady early on.
He doesn't look like he can skip or turn corners that well.
