Mental note. Need to get Slade Steel on board . Henry's best Novice imo.

25s for the ballymore very fair

You'd imagine lawlors of naas then ballymore will be the plan if he wins Saturday.

I'm looking no further than Saturday. But yeah, I'm only backing him for Ballymoney.

        • Surprised Lecky Watson shows here and not Cork Sunday.

Given the field & likely conditions Navan on Saturday is likely to be more of a test of stamina than Cork on Sunday. I wouldn’t be rushing to back Slade Steel beforehand as I can see him getting beaten (unless he’s a right good tool), Gordon’s two & Lecky Watson are out in out 3milers & will likely make it a right test.

Slade Steel & Mahons Way are HdB’s best novice’s alright for me, I said it before Naas & they didn’t change my mind that day.

Jack on Stellar Story is good news for me.

                Probably won't be that informative!
Helnwein was one to follow in OJA so might not be a bad test, albeit not from one of the main stables

                • Billericay Dickie entered for Donnelly's and Mullins at Naas next Thursday. Another French flat recruit given the year to strengthen up. Jimmy De Seuil and Quais De Bourbon entered again too.

                  • I can't help but think Slade Steel would get picked off by something quicker in the Ballymore. He took a bit of time to get going first time out. Although KOK did go out on a bit of a mission that day so maybe that blunted his speed a bit. Probably best to judge him Saturday.

I'd agree Mahon's Way and Slade Steel look the pick of Henry's. Although Becketts Rock isn't far behind. Mentioned elsewhere the 2nd to Mahon's Way runs later on. Interesting to see if that form is worth anything.

                    • Killaney King hasn't been seen yet and I think he was mentioned for the Lawlors previously. Obviously need to see him out but hasn't been entered yet.

You summoned him! Entered at Punchestown next Tuesday.

                        • Chapeau did that well enough in a proper bog at Clonmel.

….plenty of Oddschecker blue, now a best price 25-1 Bally (PP cut to 14-1, 365 16-1). Post-race comments will be of interest.

That 3m hurdle was mighty attritional. Showed just how bad the ground is. The second was all but pulled up after the last.

The way Chapeau picked up after his error 2 out in that ground makes out think he has some serious stamina.
