Given the field & likely conditions Navan on Saturday is likely to be more of a test of stamina than Cork on Sunday. I wouldn’t be rushing to back Slade Steel beforehand as I can see him getting beaten (unless he’s a right good tool), Gordon’s two & Lecky Watson are out in out 3milers & will likely make it a right test.Originally posted by Brooksie View Post

I can't help but think Slade Steel would get picked off by something quicker in the Ballymore. He took a bit of time to get going first time out. Although KOK did go out on a bit of a mission that day so maybe that blunted his speed a bit. Probably best to judge him Saturday.
