The only thing that's causing the supreme talk is that's he's been a bit keen in his bumpers.
Everything else about him points to longer trips, the fact that he's still finished strongly despite being a bit keen points to stamina, and his pedigree looks like that if a three miler. I don't know how many flemensfirths have won a supreme but I can't imagine theres been many.

Patrick Mullins also said somewhere that despite being a little free he's not free in a way where he's sapping all of his energy, or something along those lines. As long as he's not a Dysart dynamo type over hurdles and matures a bit from run to run then I'd imagine they'll be looking at the ballymore.

    • Slade Steel ground it out but he won't be one of Henry's best novices.

      Beckett Rock was better yesterday.

Could have been saying the same thing about Marine Nationale last season then. Performance was fine first time up, we'll know more once upped in grade.

The two races were ran very differently. MN won on the bridle being barely asked a question. Slade Steel was pushed out. I’d agree the performance was fine. But still don’t think the form will end up being worth much, even less likely to at 2m.

          • True the races were pretty different. From memory MN's win became a bit of a sprint, I guess he was always going to look impressive. It looked like todays race was ran at a reasonable pace and in that ground it was probably hard to see Slade Steel winning on the bridle if not fully fit for his first start. Will be interesting to compare the times of todays races.

              • Mahons Way showing up well there. Henry's gonna have to find some way to split his as they're looking like middle distance horses. Still got Killaney King to show as well.

Factual Fact too. Probably the one for 2 miles to be fair.

                  • Talking about Henry's novices does anyone have any information on Barry The Butcher. My b365 CashOut option has vanished in last 24 hours and just noticed on the "2024 Out of Festival" thread Altior has written he looks out for the season.

…Mahon’s Way into 20-1 AB but still 20-1 in Hills a/r list (22-1 with boost).

20/1 is very fair, he looks like he could easily be stepped up in trip. He gives me Minella Indo vibes the way he jumps his hurdles so neatly.

NH making up for last season with his young hurdlers it seems

                            • I see Mahons Way being an AB type with the Lawlors on route to suit him seeing he just won and stayed strong there at the same track.

A related double of Mirazur West and Mahons Way might be worth a small go, Supreme and AB perhaps?

The other related double is the CPS double of Mahons Way and Tullyhill. Both similar types.
