I did wonder whether after today, he'd be chucked into the G1 2mile novice hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas as not to disturb his mark further and then go for the County off what would surely be a mark not higher than very low 140s even with tax. Only needs one more run to qualify.

He’s a handful by the looks. Pulled for 2 miles but still out his head down to win. I can see the Bartlett argument, but it might be that coming back to 2 suits him. Could let him bowl off the front then. I could see him being this years Tolworth horse for Nicholls.

Hard to judge any horse on that today - the race was a farce, ran at a crawl and a 5f run in. That Aintree fixture is a shambles every year

Going for the Ballymore trial grade 2 at Sandown over 2m4 at the start of December according to Nicholls. Won by Henri the Second last year.

Could then follow a similar route to Henri the Second and go for the Ballymore trial at Cheltenham at the end of January if he does settle.

Tolworth horse could be Irandando Has or Welcom to Cartries if we see them out in the next month?

I can't see them going for the Bartlett after today.

Not sure who will be declared from them. Might see Zefiro Dodville but I can't see him being first choice.

I'd be hoping the top two would be seen other shorter first time up so maybe Firefox?
