There aren’t enough races for JP to split his army

It's so hard to judge after one run in a PTP, but that was my take too. I thought he was deliberately run cold to deliver a devastating kick over the final half mile. Looked an out and out Ballymore type to me on that effort.

As I say like usual though they start at 2 and they find their own path from there
As I mentioned earlier neither have ever been seen as 2m horses in the yard, especially not Tullyhill both were middle distance at least this season. If either were going to be 2m it would be Ballyburn, hes a lot quicker

        • With ADTS injured maybe they will target the Supreme with Ballyburn if the Albert is unsuitable for Tullyhill.

Is Joueur Masque around the yard R4H?

              • Ballyburn looks a chaser and not the type to win a champion hurdle on breeding.
He may well rank highly in a Ballymore field but seems to me to be vulnerable to something with more class.
Might be one of those seasons where a staying type wins though I suppose.

Not sure until I see them. From that list it seems he has multiple horses that are all Ballymore types . They may be but they won't all go that route obviously. He mentioned how keen Ballyburn can be and that they'll try and restrain him. Perhaps if he's a headstrong type then it may be better they go down the 2m route this season rather than disappointing him. He does look to have some serious Novice Hurdle contenders again this season so it'll be interesting how he shuffles them. Nice problem to have though.

Ballyburn is the best of the novices - or so they believe atm!

                              • Where do people see Firefox heading? If DML is going for the 2m at Down Royal then Firefox surely takes in the 2m6, have a read that right?
