Nicky on Jeriko after his last win.....
"He's not a speed horse; I think he's a fantastic chaser in the making. Three of them jumped the last together but I thought the way he quickened up was really impressive.
"He's not built like a horse that's going to change gear and disappear, but that he did.
"He certainly needs another run but it's hard to find where he's going to go. I'd think he might have to go two-and-a-half miles on Trials Day; that's quite possible."
Certainly adds to the possibility of him stepping up IF JP does end up splitting his Novices.

I thought Jeriko might get an entry at Haydock this weekend. Would've preferred to see that tbh.
Guess it'll be the two and half miler on trials day or the Sidney Banks now, which is also the best part of two and a half. Shishkin did the latter before stepping back for the Supreme, so it's not unknown but it is slightly concerning that either race could point them towards Ballymore.
20s antepost or 5s NRNB are available. Neither have dragged me in yet...

Like you say he done this with Shishkin
Only way Jeriko goes Bally is if trainer has at least one better for the Supreme

Markets AOT. Taken 32's about King Of Kingsfield for the Supreme and 18's about JDR for the Ballymore. The latter is a cover bet really as he's a big winner for me in the Supreme and if he does take in 2m5f on trials day and blows them away, that might just force Nicky's hand to go up in trip with JP having the current favourite for the Supreme and a few other peripheral shots as well.

I'm almost certain Nicky will go the Shishkin route (which I've said before). Sidney Banks then onto the Supreme. If Jeriko were to end up in the 2m5f race on trials day then this would have to be a worry, but I just can't see it myself, especially as I'm not sure he'd want to take on Gidleigh Park (probably the best British horse over the intermediate trip this season), who has been touted for that race, and the Sidney Banks is highly likely going to be an easier race.
