  • JDR coming along nicely, still no idea how good he is or not, but if the trainer is trying to get him to learn to race then so far so good, another run in graded company and then the supreme.
He's a bad price now though IMO, as he's still got lots to prove.
I'm on at 25-1 like most on here and I'd want 16-1 right now if not already backed.

    • ….plenty of Oddschecker blue for Jeriko after that win but still 6-1 available.

Yep, he’s coming along very nicely
No sure re price now but hopefully as you say most are already on.
I do know though that 16’s is cloud cuckoo land.
How good is he? Don’t know either, but I suspect he’s very good.

The 16's is based on the UK horses likely being a few pounds behind the Irish as has been the case in general for a couple of years or so.
And his form vs others in the market.

Some have far better form on the track and have won grade ones. I could think of at least half a dozen that have done more on the track so far. So he's priced on potential and hype and the trainers previous, which I can go with to a point, but not to the extent that he's as short as 4-1 in places.

The supreme market should not really have a single figure priced horse, but as per usual the Henderson hype horse is well under priced. This sometimes works out but more often than not it doesn't.

          • There's a bookie who isn't on oddschecker who still have him at 8s, if anyone is interested

Yeah i agree current prices are too short.
As for Hendo, yep have to get on early for sure, same with Mullins re the Supreme.

They let u have about 11 quid on and that would be him being generous.

                • Has anyone heard anything more about Mullins' It's for Me? Not seen since beating Caldwell Potter at Punchestown in November, and still no entries. Thanks.

I presume he'll be entered in the Moscow Flyer

                      Standard nicky stuff isn't it

Winning nothing races under hands and heels

We won't know how good he is until march

That willmount has been upped in trip already suggests they think he's a good one

the Irish that come over will have better form and be more battle hardened

As you say 25s looks a great price, and one I'm glad I have, 5s way too short can't imagine anyone who does a lot of antepost betting is getting stuck in at that price

                      • Which of the Irish horses that we've seen so far look Supreme quality?

Firefox would be their best currently. Caldwell Potter looks more of a Ballymore type. Farren Glory may not be quite good enough? It's for me fell short in Bumper this year. KOK not up to it. Have I missed any? Not a lot though so may well be Nicky's turn again this season.

Its for Me and Ile atlantique have both shown their hands well in their respective maidens. Doesnt look like this year will be anything out of the ordinary ability wise needed to win it at the halfway stage.

                          • It's for me fell short in Bumper. Il Atlantique more a staying type. Ruby thinks Ballymore for him. A Dream To Share would be top of my Irish list still (as he is with bookies) should he come back fit and firing.

Think this has to have a lot to do with the price of JDR.
Firefox looks Bally bound to me.
ADTS not even been seen yet and had setback I believe?
                                CPotter possibly a contender.
Rest I’ve seen all look Bally or AB types to me, or not good enough.
DDL and DML though ran on shit ground and may still be interesting on better ground.
