….it wouldn’t be for me taking 4 shorties over 6 months out but it might appeal to others.

I don’t mind one anchoring a bet, we got Marine National on board last month and El Fab has made a number of bets. CH maybe too short given slight element of doubt as per target, leaving GDC who a few posters seem happy to take on.

Or a ladies one - loads of decent prices to be considered there...

      Qualimatrix (?)
Gala Marceau (although already been in a couple)
      Impervious
      Dinoblue
Marie's Rock (I'll keep banging that drum!)
      You Wear It Well
      Brighterdaysahead

Naturally, there are some target issues, but it gives a slightly different option in a few races and some really belting prices if people want to take the chance with a couple

….quite like that one Odin. Have thought about the Mares races myself but widening it to include mares in other races gives plenty of scope. It really doesn’t matter if we include a selection more than once.

BDA getting positive reports this week makes her an obvious nomination.

I've made this point before but, in my view and from personal experience, you need to make a clear distinction between mares who are owned by the big owners and mares who are leased and run in the name of racing clubs or similar. The leased mares are there strictly for the black type that enhances broodmare value. Once that's achieved the mare is likely to go to the breeding sheds at an early opportunity to protect that value for the ultimate owner.

Feel like I'm ploughing a bit of a lone furrow on him at times but I'm surprised we haven't had Fastorslow in one yet. To me one of the best double figure prices out there and I think he'll love the extra furlong.

Your definitely not alone. nortonscoin200 and I are certainly two others who are keen. I'd still fancy Galopin but can't be many better ew propositions in my view.

I’m still on the fence about him. Just feels like one of those end of season freaky results to me against horses that the gold cup left it’s mark on. Basically I’d like to see him back it up before I’m completely sold on the idea.

How about one that features UK based trainers only. Everything from Mullins and Elliott is always overbet and offers little value. I think it's likely that Paul Nicholls, Nicky Henderson, Dan Skelton et al will find a few winners between them too. If the debate is as good as last month I reckon we might just find them too.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Aye, I'm similar. Backed him at a reasonable price (compared to SP) in the Ultima as well and the fact he was beaten there I may be holding against him somewhat Running the Grand National winner so close while giving him a few lb is a very reasonable performance in its own right. But he's still improved about a stone at Punchestown, which I'm not sure I can have.

Happy enough to watch him for now. As, unless he takes on GDC and wins first time out, I don't think he's one that'll shorten much after a run.

Alan King reporting Edwardstone to be stepped up in trip, would the Ryanair interest any with that?

                      20/1 available with 365.

Given plenty think he would have won the champion chase but for the ground (I wasn’t in that camp ), worth a punt imo if UK related trainers is the theme.

The thing with Fastorslow is he had the handbrake on with a handicap in mind last season. Now the form is certainly solid even accounting for the removal of said handbrake at Cheltenham as you say coming so close to the national winner giving weight.

They have no choice now but to go for the Grade 1’s after his much improved (possibly poorer performance by the main 2) at punchestown.

So it’s quite simple imo, he is either much better now the handbrake is off and he’ll back up the punchestown win or he’ll be beaten by GDC or Gerri etc and the price will go out anyway and probably not fancy him.

I’d say there’s just no rush to put him in one imo.

If you want to see him back it up the evidence is there already - just watch replays of his races at the last TWO Festivals.

In my view FASTORSLOW is still a decent price (Hills best at 20-1).

Another worth having in an each way yankee is surely MASKADA at a general 25-1 for the Mares Chase.

In my view she beat Dinoblue fair and square in the Grand Annual - the margin was 6l and Maskada a was giving Dinoblue 2lbs.

It's bonkers that Maskada is more than twice the price of Dinoblue.

I'm not knocking the latter - I've got her in a couple of multiples.

But Maskada has already proved she stays 2.5miles - a winner of a 23k chase on heavy ground at Limerick and poised ( imo) to win a handicap off 11st 11lbs over the same trip at Fairyhouse when falling two out.

She has also shown how well she jumps at the Festival and what a strong finisher she is up the Cheltenham hill.

There's probably more to come as she's only had 4 runs seen teaming up with Henry and surely the MC will be the target now she's been put up 9lbs for her Festival win.

So for me Fastorslow and Maskada are nailed on for a value each way yankee. Two proven Cheltenham performers running over a trip that won't be an issue and both with a pretty obvious target race.

Kateira for Mares Hurdle is one that would appeal to me

If you have Fastorslow in one of these before GDC, the plot has been irrevocably lost.

Edit: don't want to sound too aggressive so will add the qualifier, "in my humble opinion".

I suspect that the prices may be gone by the time we get to October's yankee so I'll try one final time.

                                El Fabiolo (Champion Cahse)
                                GDC (Gold Cup)
                                +
                                any other two.
