All being well with The Nice Guy do you think he could end up here? Especially if Nick Rockett is the main RSA hope. There wasn't much between him and Cocooner over hurdles and that one was talked about a little as dropping back to take on the intermediate trip at Cheltenham before TNG and his subsequent injury.

Willie didn't necessarily have a standout Turners horse last season, it just so happened Appreciate It weren't good enough at 2m as originally planned and JDB was more a back number with questions to answer after Leopardstown.

It's not impossible either vega or Mr policeman won't step up in trip to the Turners, will all depend on their performances.
Yeah, it's a fair point regarding last year and looking even further back, Willie hasn't won the Turners since 2017.. how crazy is that?!

I wouldn't rule it out but Willie seemed to suggest that Cocooner was outstayed by TNG which is why he saw him as a Turners horse, I think I remember reading. Given his age and the fact that he's a Fame and Glory (who there was a lot of talk about as awkward chasers on here), I'd actually be most interested in him for the Stayers, but again I can only assume the confidence in Gaelic Warrior for that race is due to a steer and I won't be arguing with that!

It's hard to consider either The New One of Minella Cocooner until we've seen an entry, and ideally a run. I've not seen any updates on them being back in training or whether there's any firm plans for when they're back.

I think they're both impossible to add into any multiples, and I'd only consider singles for a book rather than pinning my antepost hopes on either.

Nigel says he’s got The New One back to his best and will give constitution hill a battle up the hill.

I'd also add if either are a consideration for the Stayers as mentioned, Gaelic Warrior put up a performance at Punchestown far superior to what the other two did 12 months previously.

                Apologies, The Nice Guy!!!

Although you can just imagine NTD saying that!

Well up for getting Champ Kiely in one here. The 20s on offer in the NHC won't last.

I don't think Champ Kiely will get the NHC trip tbh.

I think he's too quick a horse, and probably is more an obvious one for the Turners, given the two he was behind at the festival, Impaire Et Passe and Gaelic Warrior are both seemingly staying over hurdles.

Fairly new boy here still earning my spurs. I am heavily invested in IEP in the Turners in numerous AntePost Multiples. Could someone educate me on why the forum believes he is staying over hurdles. He looks sensational over 2m4f. Unbeaten. If he stays over hurdles he has to revert to 2m and take on Constitution Hill who looks unbeatable. Willie has numerous other options for Champion Hurdle. State Man is the best 2m Hurdler in Ireland. Proven numerous times. I doubt any of them can beat Constitution Hill so why throw away a great chance to win the Tuners with IEP. I know he has Facile Vega too but feel sure his preferred trip is 2m so Arkle bound. I still think, and hope, IEP heading to the Turners. And yes it is definitely a case of pocket hoping/talking. Am I alone with this chain of thought ?

Not so much new boy, just relatively quiet.
I don't have a view on IEP but Mullins will only send him to the race he has the best chance of winning or, and this isn't always fully appreciated, to avoid one of the stables other horses who Mullins believes should win...

Also worth noting after he won the Lawlors, Casey was asked what his trip would be for the DRF. He immediately dismissed the 2m6 as he was thought to be too quick a horse, and if taking in the DRF, would be much more likely to go for the 2miler.

Is it widely known how much Munir and Suede leave to Mullins or how much say they / Bromley actually has in targets. Suspect they might make the decision to stay hurdling but I could be well wide of the mark.

I understand they're the owners and should get the say before anyone jumps on this. But some definitely leave it down to the trainer more than others.

That's a fair comment. Just looking to ease my way in. Can see there are a number of well established and credible members. Don't want crash the Party unless I have something I think is worth saying.
