Yep. I do like Ballyburn a lot. Let's hope MW is a little more robust than Ferny.

I have gone early as I am constantly in fear of missing odds or missing out completely and I had the funds on PP....

Went with Gala Marceau, Good Land, BrighterDaysAhead and Premier Magic.

I think that is a pretty damn strong yankee.
      cheers.

…I think MoM has indicated Nick Rockett will be included.

You can’t knock ADTS form at all but I certainly will knock his price this far out. He was the best bumper horse last season but he’s not faced all the horses that could turn up in novice hurdles this season. You’ve got the following risks that make me stay clear of him at the price:

1.) Mullins horses from France that were kept back for this season to acclimatise.
2.) Mullins new purchase from France that we don’t know of yet.
3.) Notable bumper horses that he didn’t face, in particular from the same owner: Mirazur West and Down Memory Lane. Both of those lads are potential superstars in my eyes.
4.) Is ADTS even guaranteed to go for the Supreme? After watching him cruise up alongside Fact To File at Leopardstown and then sprint away from him, I immediately thought he had the look of a Ballymore horse.
5.) He’s bred more like a Cup Horse than a jumps horse. Will he continue to progress? Will he stay sound? Will he take to jumping?

Yep, agree with all of this. I'm in absolutely no rush to get him onside, especially at the prices.

Aye, he's not one I've bothered getting onside either. And you've made a solid case not to there. Point 5 always stood out to me. I'd like to see him jump a few before having any interest at the prices. At least being with JP he's likely to stick to jumping.

Will he continue to progress would be my main concern

Flat breds usually start to decline once they hit 6

Will crack 6f sprinter muhaarar really sire a Supreme winner

He currently has a 6% strike rate over hurdles, though obviously none of the others were anywhere near as good as A dream to share in bumpers

                  Be interesting to find out

to name just a few FR that were imported last year but yet to race here.. some of these have never been registered in Ireland so hard to know their status/wellbeing etc. Excluded those imports that are 6 turning 7, 7 turning 8 next spring etc. Am sure there is plenty forgotten and perhaps a few of these have had entries/decelerations etc.

BILLERICAY DICKIE, DADDY LONG LEGS, FEUR AU FESIL, IMPLICIT, JOEUR MASQUE, PAGGANE, GIVAGO, HIP HOP DAVIS, IRANCY, PROTEKTING, SOIR DE GARDE, ENOLA

pedigree and ownership (if known) can be seen in my diary, along with some of the 2023 recruits

8/1 wasn't a bad price for the top Bumper horse. If he were Mullins he'd have been a lot shorter.......see Facile Vega. Agree he's too short now.

                      • Worth pointing out that Mullins last 4 number 1 horses running in the Supreme, 3 of them had a Bumper season the year before and the other was a point to point horse who ran in a Bumper first during its Supreme year. Bit of a trend coming out there maybe.

Yeah I’ve got my eye on a couple of them, Enola is one I’m looking at for the MNH.

                          • ….maybe worth getting Maxxum onside for NHC. A speculative selection but he’s been highlighted elsewhere on here, is already qualified and is 25-1.

….I stand corrected. I think he’s qualified on the distance criteria.
