  • The Masters/Grand National Double

    A bit of fun away from the Festival. We had a thread on this last year but I don’t think anybody connected with the winning double, although a number of placed nominations hit the mark. Hopefully we can do better this time around.

    Folk will be wanting to take advantage of enhanced place terms. The dates this year are;

    Masters Golf 6th-9th April
    Grand National 15th April

      Cameron Young and Sam Burns seem to be the trending players on the tour at the moment

      Young put in some very good performances in the majors last season without winning

      Burns wins a lot but maybe not as consistent

      Both played very very well in the wgc matchplay

      Can see one of those winning a major this year

      I feel that once Young gets one win the floodgates will open

                      Ridiculous, Red Rum will never win the Masters.

                          You just wasted 5 mins of your life looking it up....

                          Thought someone might.

                          Two brilliant proper sports personalities .

                            Corey Conners looks good e/w value at 66/1. He has a great Masters record. Since 2019 he has finished T46, T10, T8 and T6 last year. My selection e/w for The National is Roi Mague at 50/1. Decent form this season including a 16.25l third to Minella Indo (giving 3lb) and more recently a decent 1.25l second to Longhouse Poet giving the winner 5lb. Good luck all!
