Requiring a 'miraculous' improvement doesn't offer much hope. Is Nicky a pessimist? The words used are either pessimistic or realistically don't offer much hope

Barry Geraghty on the barberstown preview
scope after Kempton was 3/5 followed up by blood test that revealed he was more under the weather then they had thought
same quote as Nicky then “a clean scope since, blood test Mon..dramatic improvement etc”
Did say he worked the prev fri/sat and did a brilliant piece of work
Ruby went on to say if the Hill does run then he’d expect Paul to buck out on Stateman and take him on from the front given the poor prepLast edited by HesTheOne; 3 March 2024, 06:37 PM.

Not a very liquid market right now but if the exchanges are anything to go off, they must be expecting good news regarding CH bloodsLast edited by PresentingPercy; 4 March 2024, 08:48 AM.

Personally, I believe Con Hill will be scratched today, which won’t be of benefit to me having taking a fantastic price nearly a year ago.
But, Nicky I’ve always thought is a bit of a ‘flapper’, which offers the tiniest bit of hope.
I thought it was quite telling that Danny Mullins, on a recent podcast, when questioned about the Con Hill situation said that ‘if you knew how many of Willie’s scoped badly in the week leading up to the festival and actually won - they never get mentioned and the public don’t even know - it’s quite common’
Willie’s a cool customer (albeit with a plethora of horses to take a sick horse’s place, at short notice, in any specific graded race at the festival, which Nicky more than often doesn’t) - Nicky flaps more often than he should.
However, I feel in this instance here, Con Hill is cooked for the Festival.
I share a little prayer with myself I’m wrong.Last edited by Bollinger; 4 March 2024, 10:09 AM.

Constitution Hill matched at 9.0 with nothing to lay. I can't see that as anything but results received and decision made.
Edit: Make that 11.0
Edit 2: make that 50.0 ... he's out surelyLast edited by Exar Essay; 4 March 2024, 12:12 PM.
