    Space hoppers

Beauty of gambling though isn't it.

I've seen that as a potential huge price on a horse that was 1/4 2 hours ago.

If he runs and is back, then I'm laughing

If he runs and gets beat, I'll only have myself to blame

    • Lossiemouth won't go without Paul on his back, and he won't get off State Man will he.

Paul would have a 1/2 shot with no CH then follow up with Lossie in the Mares.

That double would be nailed on..... only way I can see Lossiemouth going is if something happened to State Man, personally.

      • My 20 doubles on him has taught me a hard lesson. I'm done with him now. Just glad I backed State Man when I thought C Hill was going chasing!!

        • Henderson has done this sort of thing time and time again.
          Epatante, Binnocular, Altior, Buvuer Dair.

All have farted, coughed or had snot up their nose (imagine that after running around on a field on a frosty February morning ?) in the 2 weeks before the festival.

Don't get me wrong, they could find an issue that means he's out, but we have been here before.

All it does us offer up an extra place
Suppose some might see the appeal of possibly placing, but a far as the win part, that’s still shut imo.

            • All thats happened is stuff that happens everyday, all season long, just today it was made public knowledge because of who the horse is.
It's no big deal, if he isn't right he wont run, if he lines up he'll be winning, the 6/4 was a gift, gutted I only got the 5/4.
Thanks for highlighting the price Kev

This was a gallop away from home though, and pretty clear it weren’t a good one, and would have been witnessed by people not involved with the yard.
Not sure it compares with the Binocular situation for example

Not suggesting he's done anything wrong, just that there is often a drama.
The gallop not being good is not great news for backers, but we don't know how bad.

Always lessons to be learnt in this game.
Antepost without nrnb always a risk though, we all know that.

AP with NRNB is just for the Handicaps as far as I'm concerned. AP prices that I'm after are all before NRNB appears. All part of the game . Fall Forward!!

No we don’t, and it’s best to wait, although getting odds against nrnb was worth taking……of course I didn’t!!

My gut feeling is we won’t see him at the festival, it’s more likely imo to be too late in the day for this sort of thing to happen
                        I so hope I’m wrong!!

                        • Nicky's press release for all those who haven't seen it.

                          Where there's life, there's hope.

                          • State man without CH surely a bigger banker than CH vs a state man.

Can see the Willie trebles and 4folds building themselves

                            • Feels bad to win without beating the best. I never backed CH and have lots of State Man AP bets so this is good news overall. Never feels good though. CH is a joy to watch when he is well.

I agree having watched that video on Racing TV. Nicky's voice was very despondent. He didn't seem confident at all. "We owe it to Nico, Michael et al to try to get him there" ... or words to that effect.
