Why digress from the plan re Lossie though? Willie's plan is that she has a comfortable season as a 5yo. Why would he run her against a 170 horse in State Man? Wouldn't make sense to me still.
Ruby was explaining the entry for lossie saying it was in case con/state man didnt make it....if con doesnt make it then i think she will still go mares still but the chance of a churdle run has increased tho.

Bit of mucus never hurt anyone!

If no blood in it'll he'll be fine, week on antibiotics, but can't work at all while on them, if he's fit enough now that's not a real problem, if he isn't...

            • What's the prize money for 2nd in this compared to winning the mares hurdle?

On my phone so can't be bothered to dig it out myself.

I'd say that's not coming in to Rich Ricci's thinking like it might do for some owners/trainers. Rich is obsessed with winners.

It’s a no lose scenario in my head.

Don't think I'd like to risk it. Could run but still be feeling affects.

I imagine it's in his thinking, in terms of whether that's enough to sway him is another matter.

To be honest I think Willie would rather keep her in calmer waters this season too, was just curious.

                              • Don’t think prize money comes into it with the big owners, it’s festival winners. Plus WPM can win both grade 1’s for 2 big owners in his yard.
