If both were to stay hurdling what's the race day prices ? C Hill 1/4 MN 3/1 with State Man next ?
All dependent on form leading up to March of course, but he's either 3/1 on the day for the Champion Hurdle or a penalty kick price for the Arkle, for punting purposes this far out the 5/1 Arkle has to be the play doesn't it ?
And just to add some context to that, if C Hill goes chasing and MN stays hurdling then MN still has State Man to beat, and the presence of him in the field will ensure MN isn't a stupid short price...

        • I would have had 1/8 that Chapman asked Nicky the question.

Which, coincidentally, is the same price Mr Lobos has suggested he’ll go off to win a Champion hurdle, if that was the race.

Has any horse ever gone off at odds of 1/8 in nearly a century of Cheltenham festivals?!?!?!?

            • Con’ Hill into 4/5 from 6/5 from his sponsors yard overnight - takes some money I’d suggest

                • Skybet now the only singular bookmaker offering odds ‘against’ on Con’ Hill for Champ Hurdle.

If the fiver’s come from Mr Henderson’s back pocket………

                      • Still bits of blue on oddschecker for CHill for Champion Hurdle, but considerably more red in the Arkle, where Marine Nationale is blue across the board. Anything been said, or a twatter storm?

Haven’t seen anything from any reliable source in months really, lot of twitter talk going around and I see a lot more people giving their opinions on where he will go so maybe that might be the cause

Barry Connell quoted saying Marine Nationale likely to go chasing so will be people just reacting to that.

                            • Yeah that might explain it, especially if people think CHill going for the Champion Hurdle again.
