Very much sounds like IEP will stick to Champion Hurdle now rather than stepping up to Stayers.

I know they’ve wasted a year with IEP, but I really hope they’ve not ruined the horse. Running him like that was just silly.

For me that's State Mans best ever performance. I do think he can challenge CH on that showing. Bob ran really well. Really quickened after the last but couldn't get near the winner. Super race. IEP needs a fence. Stepping up to the Stayers won't help him.

He'd have walked the arkle or turners

seemed a very strange decision at the time and the owners must regret it now after 3 defeats

think they were in cloud cuckoo land thinking he could win a champion hurdle with constitution hill around

a normal year giving it a go would've been fair enough but not when there's a freak of nature in the race

Hes a million miles better than any other 2 miler about bar one.
Most other eras he would be winning multi CHurdles imo
Still he does look to me to have improved and any slackness from the king, SM could take advantage.

Knocking connections for aiming for a Champion Hurdle... sounds like because you had a few quid on for a novice chase you can't let it go..... getting very boring to read in my opinion
