Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Gents, not coming down until the Tuesday evening, watching from the pub Wednesday, and have tickets Thursday and Friday, so will be cheering the Naiad on from home. Sorry I can’t make it, but make sure you wave to the TV when Nassalam wins

If anyone wants to meet up later in the week, or in the pub one evening then I’d love to try and organise it and put some faces to names. Spectre it was great to meet you in the Plough last year, and hope to do so again.

We certainly will. We should be in The Plough straight after racing on Thursday and there all evening, so hopefully we can catch up then

I will definitely be there for a couple of hours after the racing on Thursday before dinner plans. See you there - and anyone else who wants to join!

I will be there on the racecourse all 4 days.

Happy to join the Ultima pack after the Arkle.

If anyone is there on other days and wants to arrange a meet up, Im happy to join in on other meetings too.

Had a great chat with Istabraq, on Trials Day.

                    Also met up with Topofthegame2021
                    Spectre
                    among many others

There really is some good racing folk on FJ, and it would be great if we could meet each other if time and effort allows.

Anyone want to DM me on here, about it, Im sure we can sort something out.

Or we could set up a group meeting place and time for
                    Day 2
                    Day 3
                    Day 4
on this thread, or another thread.

Makes sense to have a Daily Meeting place so we can capture those who come for a day or two outside of Tuesday

Gotta feeling this year might be the one, so would be a shame to miss the celebrations!

The Naiad meeting spot by the paddock/weighing room is a good place to meet after a race. I’d be up for a get together there at any time on Wednesday and/or Thursday for sure.
Also hoping to make the Tuesday celebration but that’s a bit more complicated for me.

Maybe the spot at the top (High point) of the paddock viewing is a good place for

                              DAY 2
                              DAY 3
                              DAY 4

Fat Jockey places to meet then

If we said meet there after Race 2 on each day, then we have a consistent timing of when we meet up.

If that sounds a good idea.

Apologies Saxon Warrior but I'm not entirely sure if you mean the spot that Spectre is suggesting for the Naiad meet or somewhere slightly different.

Last year we met near the bottom of the steps next to the fence between the weighing room and the paddock terraced standing area. It looks out almost directly at the spot inside the paddock where Ruby, AP and co stand to present their TV racing coverage.

The good thing about meeting near the bottom of the steps is that there's almost always plenty of space down there for us to gather.

More people tend to congregate near the top of the steps (close to the fast food stalls).

I assume that's where you mean by the "top (high point) of the paddock viewing" - but I maybe wrong.

But if we can get a firm fix on the location I'll be there after race 2 on Wednesday and Thursday.
